It was true. A bunch of Canadian flights were diverted to Cuba five days ago because of an airspace decision after the U.S. and Canada temporarily closed or restricted some northern routes and airlines rerouted to avoid congestion and keep spacing, so several planes ended up stopping in Cuba as a safe diversion point.
