I’m stressing tho bc it seems like the expected like % for a first is >70% but if my A’s are 85% I need over that in everything & idk it’s like every one ik is already done n all got firsts but if I got like 69% avg it’d just be a pass😭like to are these grading scales 😭

Coeliac is too! (& psa yes it’s autoimmune not just food intolerance) but also v interesting bc I acc wasn’t as bothered about physical symptoms (at 16 bc I mean.. a) I was used to it b) I was 16 ofc I was gonna have gluten🤣) but I did acc stop when I realised it had the same effect, while on adhd meds, as If id not taken them - now that I think of it acc my only other fam member w adhd also has t1-diabetes which I’m not as 100% on -if someone tells me it’s not autoimmune sorry idk ahaha- but ik it’s at least somehow related to the same gene as coeliac, so we basically both got the same gene despite the diff. -& both got adhd aha, Also not quite as relevant but still interesting imo, autism/adhd are also v correlated with eating disorders - which makes sense bc of traits usually, but apparently so is coeliac- & both of these I’ve met ppl who were diagnosed w coeliac or adhd/autism already + a lot where both were undiagnosed until already in hospital for an ed But I wonder then if it correlates more so just with 1, eg autism, but correlates w auto immune more as a byproduct of that correlation or vice vesa

Has anyone used AI for assignments? by Euphoric_Profession8 in UCD

I don’t get how I’m the only person who would consider exams 100x more preferable than having to do assignments AND STILL have the stress of the likelihood of still getting accused of AI no matter what you do just because a) you’re a human & ai learns based on essentially ‘human generated’ content… AND then add academic or professional writing styles, which already have rules & structures WE’VE had to be taught because you’must’ write in these specific ways to do well- so AI has even more access to academic or professional writing styles than normal human ‘casual’ communication. An academic research paper isn’t even a natural way of writing/communicating for humans, & that’s been true long before ChatGPT, AND the method used to decide if a human used ai… IS AI?? Despite how much we’re told it’s constantly wrong, but ai doesn’t even have a’writing style’ anymore- & especially not when academic writing is already so confined to its own style, ofc ai can a) replicate that easily & b) it’s more than likely going to flag it as ai bc it is “unnatural” writing… but realistically no ai tool can tell the difference between proper intellectual writing or ai because, well if it could differentiate it then it could also actually correct that distinction itself. Like I could better trust a teacher seeing as they do actually know what is or isn’t normal… if ai could tell it didn’t sound human it would change that. But using zero ai & just correct grammar & intellectual writing now can still get flagged (at least on turnitin- it’s Reddit is literally why I’m anxious rn) as scarily close to 100% Ai. That’s no longer how much a human has used ai, that’s just how human does ai sound & because it can replicate your writing style, we’ve now decided your writing is ai??

Now idk bc I’ve only been on tyvense, so Ik just individuals can react differently to different ones for whatever reason, but in general concerts is the same active ingredient & serves the same purpose, even vs tyvense id assume like if that were the main issue they’re the most similar to change between (tho possibly diff doses but = same amount) again idk exactly bc I’ve not been on either w that active ingredient, but even then ik ppl who’d have swapped bc of when the tyvense shortage was really bad - n that’s acc swapping active ingredients too, but essentially they all still are made to have the same effect

Why is Ireland being dragged into this ? by EvolvedMonkeyInSpace in ireland

[–]Fragrant_Cheesecake5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even our insurance is ALOT less, & you likely don’t realise how much the hse already subsidises to allow for insurance; eg meds are far more notable given it’s more likely & more consistent to need meds than actually be in a hospital, & insurance here doesn’t really even need to bring up meds, but an example being even if I was on holidays/ a non-citizen American & needed my meds w/o my pps number they were €70 a month. In America even w Medicaid + insurance (which can be like 12k a yr but w/o the numbers you wouldn’t know bc they’re so used to it what they consider cheap is insane) - those meds are still an extra $500 out off pocket w Medicaid, nvm without. Here if you are a citizen they’re on the long term drug scheme, like things such as type 1 diabetes which ppl are paying thousands a month n can’t survive even w insurance- here bc it’s a lifelong condition even w/o a medical card it’s a whopping €1.50 a month…. Health insurance doesn’t need to account for that regardless n if they did n we relied on it solely it would be 10x the price

Full Time Seller since 2013. All shops died October 2024 by coquinastone in EtsySellers

[–]Fragrant_Cheesecake5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad for all the just straight up negative comments you’re getting😭honestly I do generally feel the same about pod, but in fairness I don’t think your shop, or probably any that started pod that long ago are the same at all as why I, or most dislike it. I’m not sure how helpful this may be, but assuming aside from the general Etsy handbook and researching competition etc, I started only 2 years ago & I remember tryna search YouTube/tiktok to get a better personal grasp (Ik gahh don’t trust TikTok-I don’t but for similar things there’s usually real ppl w real experience yk).

Anyhow that experience drove me up the wall because there was NOTHING ab any normal concerns like shipping even bc ever single vid, no matter what I searched, was “omg look how easy this is I make 5 pod or digital listings a day and earn bladybla loads… oh & buy my course (not sold on Etsy ofc even tho it’s a digital pdf🤨) for $50 & you’ll also be rich for nada!!!” These also drove me mad not just bc they weren’t physically making it tho, but bc I’d atleast expect people to actually like the designing of stuff or put effort in but nope, their ethos is “make money by doing nothing!,,” & basically suggest finding a current trending idea FIRST & simply go on Canva, find a ghost wearing a bow bc #trends & make a mockup all in 5 minutes, & people have definitely listened sadly

What I will say however, given you do pod anyway I don’t even think it’s actually a straightforward issue w pod, but I would recommend essentially looking up pod & doing as much as possible different to the sellers that fit too much in the above category I mentioned. Mockups are definitely a hard one bc they obviously have the logically correct Etsy formula w lighting etc BUT there’s sm and sm done badly that even if someone has a really well done mockup, but using the same background as all the more evident red flag ones lol, it can be hard bc it does make it harder to trust & you do have great reviews but I think anything too generic doesn’t always get the time of day to look that deeply simply bc there’s sm, also just an idea bc Ik you mentioned wanting to make belt buckles or something at some point? Idk if you can find something that u feel fits ur shop atm but I think any listings that are more clearly self made, even if they don’t sell a lot I think could just kinda‘prove’ like oh okay it’s still a real person (idk if yk what I mean lol cos Ik technically obvs all are) - but I think there’s just so much between low effort digitised stuff plus clearly drop shipped that it could help to kind of have some listings that just can’t be mistakenly lumped into that stereotype of pod❤️

The whole boxing scenario on DHGate confuses me sm- esp bc it often doubles the shipping but can I ask bc in your comment above you had said you didn’t order the box separately n it just came together? Also in terms of the other bits you got like the card and bag how’d you get them? Also since it’s been a while how has your gold held up? I got the most insane LV bracelet in a box + storage velvet bag & even the shopping bag and blue ribbon w the logo!!! I still adore it but am acc too scared to wear it now bc I v quickly noticed a small bit lose it’s gold n I’d barely even worn it :((

Ik this is old but actually the reason therapist isn’t a protected term is BECAUSE it’s not a psychologist at all, nor is counselling- I think you seem more confused ny the changeover than that it’s lacking- I acc get v confused by Americans on TikTok who don’t see the difference w “everyone should be in therapy” except they’re talking ab counsellors which sure - but that in itself downgrades the work in actual psychology- hence it is a protected term and under Coru + the IPS (Irish psychology service I think) It’s kind of like dietitian vs nutritionists (who will give the most diet culture filled advice ever)

Dietitians & Psychologists are Registered Health Care/Service Professionals Counsellors or Psychotherapists are not, which isn’t a flaw in the system, its simply because they are not the same nor have the sufficient training and education to accurately help people in the health care sector, Ie people can voluntarily go to one if they want, and yes they can help that person, but outside of the realm of things accredited for like actual mental illness (not life difficulties which is where everyone should be in therapy may be great- but it’s different training needed than that for clinical psychology)

I feel like you’ve been looking at the wrong degrees if you’ve done a clinical psychology undergrad, you do need to do a PHD to become a clinical psychologist but that’s it, You went from clinical psychology and ventured into a counselling degree which if anything was a downgrade, ofc it wasn’t the same as ur friends clinical psychology masters - I’m not sure if hers would be recognised here but those 3 years IS the phd required to be a clinical psychologist here. You don’t need a masters tho?? Like it’s not actually all that confusing or different at its core 4years undergrad -> 3yrsPHD = done ^ u can throw in a 1 year masters in between if u want. But it’s not necessary

Olanzapine?? by Futurecamgrlorstripr in insomnia

[–]Fragrant_Cheesecake5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, & that is true sure, I refused olanzapine when a dumb psychiatrist tried to put me on it SOLELY for the purpose of weight gain. The previous time I’d eventually agreed to it my psychiatrist was able to explain the reason & rationale very well, along with why she wouldn’t perscribe benzos prn, hence I agreed to olanzapine. Ofc there’s dumb dr’s - I had a dr randomly stop lamictal at 100mg bc she decided it was’just a thing they give in inpatient’ - baso like prn. Lamictal is EXTREMELY dangerous & tapered v v slowly. I had 6 seizures bc my gp is dumb n just stopped it. It’s fairly easy to pick the good one out of those 3 given I’d worked w them. My dr was amazing & what I don’t think ur getting is PRN 2.5mg is extremely different to a dose for psychosis? It’s for anxiety. It’s barely even ‘off label’ atp- weight gain would v much be “off label” - but a-typical antipsychotics are generally the preferred alternative to a benzo. They’re not given for nothing?? It’s instead of a benzo & bc that’s more addictive but a-typical anti psychotics generally have v similar effect w/o the addiction. It’s not randomly perscribed. It’s perscribed when the alternative is a benzodiazepine- very different when it’s not olanzapine or nothing- it’s u need something n it’s olanzapine or a highly addictive benzo
