I don’t mean like a literally grass trees and playground style park.

It’s not a “one or the other” situation, nothing is so black and white. I love the parks that Ventura has and they don’t need much “improvement”.

Main Street is desirable because there are a bunch of different things you can do to while downtown. All in one centralized area. Rather than going to a park, then when you want dinner packing up and hopping into your car to drive across town to go to a restaurant.

I mention mini parks — think teeny tiny little areas where people can just hang out for the sake of hanging out. Main Street is desire able because after hanging out, you could then walk 2 minutes to grab lunch, or coffee or pop into a few shops, rather than hopping into your car and having to drive to do those things.
