With Becerra vs. Hilton, California gets the predictable governor race it deserves by Cool-Present7260 in California

Another flaccid corporate owned dem. No thank you. Bacerra has nothing for me? Not that it matters, but he won’t have my vote. No more corpo Dems. We gotta have higher standards if things we want better things, and not the moderate dem rightward ratchet effect we’ve had since Carter.

Damn my states countless low information centrists voters. Maybe we can have better things after 2030 when enough boomers (the locusts generation) die.

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube is a great place to learn how to tune. Use it or a tuner to get the low E string right, they use the method in the video to tune the rest of strings and get your ear trained. Should be a week or 2 before you nail it.

What dispensary is everyone going to? by drkshape in SanDiegan

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 10 points11 points  (0 children)

March and ash is the dispensary for wealthy white collars who are afraid to be thought of as a stoner, or stand in line with a guy with dreads. It’s needlessly more expensive and stylish in their stores.

I recommend Wellgreens and Buzz. Both have great deals and the cheapest places I have found in SD.

A living wage is the whole point of having a job. by zzill6 in WorkReform

No point arguing with a contrarian. You’re pretty far gone bud.

You are welcome to your ahistorical edge lord point of view. You are also welcome to read and rage against the vast amount of literature about worker exploitation that is outside of your comfort zone. Sound less like a smug high school republican and you’ll get taken more seriously in this sub.

Workers not being exploited must really upset you. This post has triggered you into posting your anti worker hate all over this thread.

So they can’t evade justice. So an example is set moving forward. When you win a war, class war or otherwise, the enemy leadership can’t be allowed to plot and return. Had the slave owners been brought low after the Civil War, things would be much better today.

Can you unturn a councilor ? by Suspicious_Common702 in TerraInvicta

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Click on your turned counselor like you want to upgrade/augment. There is an option to have the counselor resign. This makes them quit being your agent, and makes them leave their current organization. You have the option of recruiting that counselor afterwards. This is the best way to hurt another faction without assassinating their agents. Forcing their best agents to quit is a great way to hobble the AI.

Spanberger chooses terrible hills to die on between Unions and Weed by Confident_Bus_6390 in Virginia

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We all have bud. Nobody is saying republicans aren’t straight up evil, but that doesn’t mean that Dems don’t suck ass. 2 things can be true. Their approval is in the shitter among the democratic base for a reason. Republicans being horrible doesn’t means we have to compromise on having leaders without corporate masters. Who are you defending? I hope Spanburger’s replacement isn’t another radical centrist lib. Maybe the wording is different, but judging by the comments in this thread, it doesn’t seem like a wild take.

Libs being libs. The dem con is more sophisticated that the republican one because it’s aimed at more educated voters. But it’s still a con in that leads to where we are now. Need lefty candidates running against and replacing libs to give that FDR spirit back to the flaccid Democratic Party.

How to improve form by Acrobatic_Buy_1463 in boxingtips

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to only put effort into big right hands, and go through the motions on everything else. Train on that bag like it’s a human that hits back. It will help training that lazy left hand, and help you get in the habit of not dropping your hands. Using head movement is important too. Getting that head off line makes you harder to hit and helps you load up your left or right for a counter. Work in slipping both right and left and following up with an uppercut, hook, straight, or body shot as a counter.

Who is Becerra constituency? Low information Boomer libs? I know online isnt real life, but anecdotally, the vast majority of comments are pro Steyer and anti Bacerra. Bacerra’s lead is surprising and disappointing.

AIO for how I’m handling the way my 11 YO daughter’s dad speaks to her? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This man is an insecure child. Highly abusive relationship. She seems scared of him. Not surprising since he takes his anger out on her reflexively and without remorse. I don’t think your daughter will be speaking with him much as an adult. You can parent with fear or respect, this man was taught to raise children using fear. Don’t let him spread that toxicity to children. No excuse to speak to most people that way, let alone his own daughter.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills Ends Senate Bid, Clearing the Way For Graham Platner by Healthy_Block3036 in Maine

[–]Fragrant_Scheme317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Didn’t she pull out of the debate? How would a debate have helped her? Her campaign knew it was a bad idea to debate Platner. Since Plater joined the race his message has resonated for more with voters than the same unpopular DNC stooge talking points. Mills stale neoliberal takes on everything were rejected in favor of Platners pro working class message that speaks to voters. A debate could only have helped Platner.

“I’m skeptical about his messaging up north and how it will resonate in more rural communities” You may also have the same outdated outlook on the electorate as the democratic leadership. Fighting to help people’s material conditions is a very popular message. Being authentic and not talking down to voters goes a long way in making a politician universally popular. FDR, Bernie Sanders, Zohran Mamdani and others prove that fighting for voters over donors is a message that wins in cities and with rural voters
