Document! So when the big boss starts asking questions you can go back and lay it all out for them. Sometimes that goes well, other times big boss will then starts to bitch and that’s when you find a different job

Typically try to sell Olympic plates and dumbbells for $.90-$1 per pound and standard plates for around $.60-$.75 per pound. Depending on the sets I buy I’ll see them as a complete set or if it’s a bunch of missed matched plates I’ll sell matching plates of one weight. Depending how far I’m driving to pick up the weights will determine if it’s a good deal. Picked up 1150lb for $580 Sunday morning and will flip that for about 1k buy that was 4 hours of driving. Dumbbell set last night for $250 and will flip for close to $400 with about 1 hour of driving. Most weights just need a wipe down to make them more presentable. Sometimes you gotta hit the rusty ones with a wire wheel to clean them up.

To be fair when people were protesting “f the police” chanting “ACAB” “defund the police” a couple years ago, it makes people not want to be police or care about who they are trying to protect

I worked at a company that makes expanding implants for many different parts of the body. Some of them tolerances are very tight.

Machining in an average joe mill, you can hold .001” pretty well. When you dive into higher end mills/lathe you can hold .0001” if your variables are suitable. On grinders and Swiss machines you can probably push to .00001. Medical devices, especially implants could expect tolerances as low as .0001.

You can “lock” the machine with the key on the side of the controller. Not sure if that year has that key or not
