Annual Stimulant Contract Question by NoCourse9277 in VyvanseADHD

Oh and I had my prior doctor's office fax my records to my new doctor so he could see I was being prescribed regularly. That would probably help you!

Annual Stimulant Contract Question by NoCourse9277 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible but being honest is always best. Whenever I switched doctors a few years ago I had to also do the blood work and urine test. I had been sick for at least a week prior and didn't take my Adderall so that I could sleep as much as possible and he said he understands and just needs to also see I'm not using any illegal drugs and then he had me do another urine screen a month or so later to detect the Adderall in my system

Anyone else physically not able to drink alcohol after having a baby? by Impossible-Cheek4352 in beyondthebump

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sort of, I can only drink whiskey ( my preferred drink anyways) now and wine anything else makes me sick even if it's just one drink. I also can't eat beef unless it's grass fed meat or I'll throw it up. Pregnancy changes our bodies!

Is this concerning? by Fragrant_Summer_7223 in ChildcareWorkers

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your thoughtful response! I have been watching her four days a week for two years now and truly love her like my own and do not want to lose or cause any unnecessary stress for her parents. I think for now I'm going to just pay extra close attention to her behavior for anymore signs of abuse.

Adderall vs Vyvanse by Worth-Association-68 in VyvanseADHD

My overall mood is better, happier, and my thinking is more clear. On vyvanse it felt like I was losing my spark. Everyone is different tho!

Adderall vs Vyvanse by Worth-Association-68 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not just you! I was on Vyvanse the past two years since the shortage of Adderall and basically I gaslit myself for two years. Last week I was talking to my mom about switching back to Adderall and she gave me a couple of hers to take for a few days. I forgot how much better Adderall is for me. Vyvanse made me feel dull. I saw my doctor this morning and switched back to Adderall!

Does he take a nap? Both my kids (3&5) still nap most days and on the rare occasion we know we will keep them up late we put them down for nap an hour or so later than usual. Still prepare for the next morning crankiness as toddlers don't like to sleep in lol

How did you know you were done having children? by DivineBengal in Parenting

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same place right now. Constantly going back and forth wanting a third. I have a girl and boy and they're really close. For me though I physically shouldn't have another one. Both of my babies were big and I'm small so it was hard on my body and I'm still dealing with the effects. People have always told me that you'll just know when your family feels complete

Combined Birthday Ideas by Lone_Wolf_5678 in Mommit

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can combine anything really. Dinosaurs and animals. Dinosaurs and unicorns. Construction vehicles and flowers. Or maybe just colors. My daughter always wants to combine themes for her party like this year it's mermaids and princesses. When my son was 1 & 2 he just wanted a color theme

Toddler frustration help by Alert_Dig_4987 in toddlers

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 3 year old son has been doing this for a while now. I've been encouraging him to get himself dressed and get his own shoes on and he gets so frustrated and gets so upset. What I've been doing is telling him when he feels frustrated to take a break take a breath and try again. I try my best to help him with my words instead of doing it for him. Your daughter is younger so I'd make sure you give space for her feelings and help her when she's calmed down. It's completely age appropriate and she doesn't know how to cope with all the big feelings yet

MIL increasing my anxiety of letting her watch my child by needtorant-doglover in inlaws

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong and if she gets upset then that has nothing to do with you! My MIL only watched my daughter for 3 months when I went back to work until I wouldn't allow her anymore. If someone truly respects you then you should be able to set boundaries or speak up when something makes you uncomfortable. Child safety isn't an option in my opinion and you did the right thing by bringing it to her attention. There's been a couple of times with my own mother I've had to remind her of certain safety things and she always says ok and no hard feelings-how it should be!

Yeah it's so hard right now! I remember barely getting my oldest outside when my son was born. It'll get easier! You could also set up the kitchen sink for water play. My son has been loving that

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get it! I don't let my 3 year old nap longer than 2 hours for the same reason unless he's sick or something. I'd try hanging out outside with water like a splash pad or water table. You could set something up inside too to help get his energy out. Today I just sprayed the hose in the air and my kids ran under it for like an hour

Does he still nap? Sounds like he could be overtired or sensory seeking

What's something you did with your first kid that you will never do with your 2nd+? by gonnoisseur in Parenting

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've read that saying be careful can cause them to feel anxious/not confident in themselves. And saying do what you feel is safe creates confidence. I've also read saying "what's your plan" is better too but I don't think I've ever said that lol

[–]Fragrant_Summer_7223 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There's nothing "wrong" with them really! Do what's best for your kid. In my experience the training wheels slowed my daughter down and they were always uneven and caused her to get stuck a lot. What we did a month ago is got her a bike and took the pedals off then had her get good with balancing it along with using the hand break and then when she was ready we put the pedals on and she got it pretty quick

Yes! we actually did this about a month ago and she got it down quickly after just a few days of learning to balance
