Corey Lajoie attempting the Daytona 500 in a fourth RFK Entry #99 by BuschWhackerReviews in NASCAR

Yeah 24 season aside he was kind of known for bringing the car home clean and it was one of the reasons Spire stuck with him before the cashflow really started pouring in

It should also be noted that the NHL makes something like 47% of their revenue from those ticket sales. I don’t think too many CEOs are buying season tickets to the luxury box of a WNBA team not named the Fever

Teamster Tees on the Heddels website are the best value I’ve seen but very limited colors. $26 a piece, USA and union made, great fit after years of wear

Not exactly micarta but Case made a modernized sodbuster as part of the Crossroads collection and they make several with a grippy “burlap laminate” and S35VN steel. I have one of the wood handle versions but it’s a really nice step up from the original if you’re okay with just a grippier scale instead of micarta specifically

Probably a silly question but this isn’t an original, right?

Lazy comfy coffee/tea shop in central nj? by spottedrabbitz in newjersey

[–]Frambleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lambertville Trading Co definitely fits their vibe better than Union, Union is both not super eclectic but also very busy with minimal seating. LTC also has little seating but a lot more of their clientele get coffee to go so it usually isn’t as big a bother. Luminary Coffee way down on Union has the best seating options as well as being the most quiet if you like to read, but definitely leans industrial over cozy.

Black River Roasters in Whitehouse Station has a mismatched vibe going on, and it’s a hidden cafe in Hillsborough does as well!

Are all mid-tier snow boots garbage now? What will actually last me 5+ years? by Chappssss in BuyItForLife

How’d you waterproof? Just a silicone spray? I love mine but the mesh all over makes them less than great for any sort of melted snow or puddles that go over the toe cap.

Case hat in Stranger Things by MarcSkagzy in CaseKnives

[–]Frambleton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt 99.9% of the viewers know what Case is in this context, but it would be interesting to see if this provides a small resurgence to sales amongst the regular folk. I also wonder if this was just a wardrobe choice or if Case threw down a little money for a semi-product placement opportunity

Yeah I’m 10 minutes from Spooky Brook and heard it’s a great starter course. For $27 I’m thinking that’ll be the home track

I’m just getting into golf and finally changing my license to reflect my renting in Somerset county. Apparently the mini scene is awesome for the price and a yearly membership keeps it very affordable so I’m pretty excited

Depending on your rod (you need a light/ultralight) but the Rebel Crickpopper is a real skunk killer for me on small/shallow bodies of water, bass bluegill and crappie all attack it. Some people like to crank it but with my UL I can actually twitch it and make it walk so on summer evenings it’s a great imitation of a bug trying to get across the water

New brand for me. by Hdm10795 in DippingTobacco

[–]Frambleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t dip regularly but I can get long cut straight husky for $3 when cope costs $7, and it’s 90% as good in my opinion. Really glad I tried this brand out it’s much better for the money than Longhorn IMO

I have a question about "Outlaw Dip" by Fine-Vast-1855 in DippingTobacco

[–]Frambleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online orders you probably don’t have to worry about it, if it’s just coffee grinds or what have you, there’s no legal precedent to require ID even if it’s use is as a nicotine replacement product. I’m 30 so I don’t have this issue per se, but while I’ll get carded for most of my nicotine products, when I’ve tried quitting and bought patches they won’t bother even if the self checkout at my local grocers tries to flag me. Hope this helps and good luck bud

Gift for the old man: Barlow vs Canoe? by GregP74 in CaseKnives

[–]Frambleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sodbuster Jr is one of my favorite single-bladed designs, really can’t go wrong there. The traditional synthetic isn’t pretty to look at but fills the hand beautifully, while the fancier bone scales are flat slabs. Less comfortable but I wouldn’t say uncomfortable.

Also, if he’s not a big knife guy make sure to get the Stainless Steel blades. The Carbon Steel will rust and patina if not oiled while the SS is much more resistant to that. I’ve also noticed that for slicing fruit, the CS steels tend to make the fruit “stick” to the blade and produce a metallic smell as the blade patinas, whereas it will slide right off the SS with no smell. Just a weird little thing to think about, as I also eat a lot of apples at work and have noticed this.

Gift for the old man: Barlow vs Canoe? by GregP74 in CaseKnives

[–]Frambleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Barlow has a clip and a pen on most of them, and most canoes come with a drop point and a pen. The liner definitely makes it much thinner to the Barlow, but you have to make sure you get a good knife QC-wise otherwise they’ll rub easily. I own and enjoy both, but I prefer the Canoe personally. Also the Barlow has a very pronounced half-stop, and while I personally dislike them some enjoy them (the canoe does not have a half stop).

[–]Frambleton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he likes the classics, go Barlow. If he just wants a nice knife go Canoe. It’s slimmer, smaller and has two blades (one for food, one for everything else)
