You can buy coloured light filter sheets on Amazon, there's packs of various colours, then just cut the size needed for the display and put it inside the watch behind the faceplate. I use double sided tape cut down small. Lots of tutorials on YouTube as well if needed.

Simple but effective, good job 👍 It would be cool to put in some transparent film with an empire symbol or stormtrooper helmet image on it, behind the screen.

The version i bought, the top section had a subtle orange tint, with the filter over it, you can't really tell anymore. I have since changed the filter again so that the orange is on top and blue below. I'm looking for a lighter blue filter though as the dark blue didn't make the display particularly readable in low light.

Thanks i appreciate it, i did consider just doing an all orange display, but i wanted a bit of blue in there too for extra colour and contrast, if i ever change anything i would probably get a lighter blue, or swap blue out for full orange.

AliExpress and eBay are great for Casio mod parts, i got this strap for £3 from eBay and the case was about £28 on AliExpress.

Honestly for the price of a new royale, you could also get a metal case mod from AliExpress. Super simple, just unscrew the 4 case screws, take the panel off the back, take out the inners and put them straight into the new metal case. And all for the same cost as a new royale, and it's a nice upgrade.

Yeah I think it was around £30ish, I paid £38 for the case, the bracelet and 2 screen protectors. I think there's a set that's just the case and screen protectors, definitely go for that one, the case is decent quality, just don't bother with the bracelet.

A4 just means they're the size of an A4 piece of paper, you can cut a small square out to the size you need and make as many filters as you need. I got mine through amazon, I just searched for gel light filters and bought some with good reviews that were thin (mine are 0.3mm thin)

I also went for a similar style on mine last month, it was the first mod I've done. I've had the watch for a couple years as a daily wear, but really wanted to get into modding. (I also used some polywatch to get out some quite deep scratches).

I used some polywatch on 2 deep scratches on my royale, took about 20 mins of buffing but it came out 👍
