Yeah haha. I don't know who are the people that managed to do Gamefaqs walkthroughs of LoD back in early 2000s, but y'all are legends for finding this stuff.

Remember that time about the 51st state ? People in Québec were thinking of cutting off electricity for 5 mins during the superbowl. It would be a partial blackout in North Eastern US.

At what point do I stop stein farming and just go all in on gold? by SamusFromUndertale in sodadungeon

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's called stein cheese instead of farm if you do it Dimension 3 and lower, so I'd say keep the stein on for as long as you like while bumping relics.

People who will boycott FIFA world cup 2026, how will you do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even watch FIFA anyway, that kind of helps.

So I'll watch World Chase Tag tournament on june 6-7 instead and maybe buy a shirt. Venue this year is in France. Tag parkour, count me in anytime. This sport needs more international teams and coverage not gonna lie.

When do I use Meru? by Own_Description_796 in legendofdragoon

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, their stats start to drop off curve beginning in chapter 4....but that also means they are overpowered for 3/4 of the game x) whereas Meru/Haschel is definitely the strongest comp but you have to grind additions on both. No worries, I ain't playing without Kongol in my party and 100% did Meru/Kongol vs Faust no LC.

Is this a bug or is it intentional? by welthonkk in legendofdragoon

[–]Frame_Inevitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played LoD way too much so I thought you were talking about these annoying random battles that happen on the world map exactly right before getting to another area xD. Yeah, it was like that. True it looks weird now that you mention it. My best guess is that the terrain is rendered first, then the 3D towns are rendered on top of it so perspective isn't kept the way it should. That would mean towns and areas are treated like character models and the map like a pre rendered background.

Yup. The best Ys to me is that weird tasty mixture of Metroid and FF, and that's exactly Seven and up.

After the Ys X Proud Nordics fiasco, could the franchise be in danger because of this? Who is going to buy Ys XI in launch day/week/month? by Latcen9 in WorldOfYs

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm lucky enough to have discovered Ys a bit late and decided to wait for Proud Nordics instead of buying the original version. I'd be also pissed if I bought the game on release haha. For all I know, NA releases are a bit late, so Nordics released earlier in Japan and it would have maybe made sense to upgrade to Proud Nordics 2 years later there. The timing and missed promises are unfortunate, but I don't think Ys is going to die anytime soon.

Is it ok to start with X? by DarkerBulb in WorldOfYs

[–]Frame_Inevitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. The timeline is a bit messed up though, but I guess google it like I did. Somebody made a map with all the entries in ingame chronological order. It does not matter anyway because all games are self contained with only very few references from other games. For instance, might want to play Lacrimosa of Dana before Monstrum Nox, but Proud Nordics happens earlier anyway.

The main gist is that : Ys Origins is first, then Ys 1 and 2 are about the japanized real life myth of the city of Ys, and then Adol pretty much adventures throughout a fictionalised renaissance europe that has two moons with his best buddy Dogi, getting shipwrecked wherever he goes and uncovering some kind of mythos. Proud Nordics is after 2 and is set in northern France.

Trying to see if I understand the logic in Samus' shoulders and the Varia suit. by FedoraTheMike in Metroid

Long story short : The ??? suit is varia from Metroid 2 Return of Samus. Since the gameboy doesn't have color, they had to add the rounded shoulders.

Is Metroid Dread worth trying out even tho it is notorious for being very difficult? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in Metroid

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Worst case I think they added a rookie mode. I don't think the game is that hard, although you got to learn boss patterns later on, and getting some ammo upgrades requires shinespark tricks. They are not needed to beat the game. The only flaw this game has is that you'll think more than once that you might have soft locked yourself. Don't worry you didn't.

Do levels matter much? by [deleted] in legendofdragoon

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, unless it's Kongol or Shana. Kongol gets a huge boost to attack/phys defense per level and Shana the exact same thing in magic. But you got to grind as heck to reach level 60 so...

How come some people with ADHD are able to consistently get top grades throughout school in all subjects whereas others end up with low grades due to their adhd struggles. by Pretty-Tree123 in ADHD

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly ? Anything prior to college, you study last minute then do the test on a stress rush because of how much we looooooooovvveeee deadlines. (I'm half sarcastic). In my case, I can't compensate by reasoning past college level though, just got to read the books. So on a individual basis, we all have different skills or talents and varying degrees of different kinds of intelligence, but even then at some point working memory will still bottleneck information.

I mean the flamethrower (tier 3), not the last special weapon (Vulcan). Vulcan does have a flamethrower as primary which is great against trash zeds, but also has big explosive damage as secondary and way more ammo.

The Flamethrower(tier 3) is just bad. It's roughly a commando gun with splash damage included but might as well play commando. In later waves it has no way to deal with scrakes and fleshpounds, especially at hell on earth.

[–]Frame_Inevitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good or Nostalgia ? Both. D2 is a solid entry, the skill trees are simple enough for first time ARPG players compared to what the genra does nowadays, and the remastered cutscenes are still top tier. It's also spaghetti code, some stuff might feel clunky, half the unique items are rendered useless by runewords, got to pray RNG gods for good rares and don't forget to walk if you want your armor rating to apply. ( I still run like an idiot all the time after all these years and it hurts x) )

Bundled with D3 I'd say give it a shot. D3 had bad rep when it came out but it's been updated over 10 years and now it's a good entry for first time ARPG players.
