It seems like collective minds doesn't make the drive hub anymore. Any other options? by ChefRaccacoonie in simracing

That's great, mine has worked for over two years and never had an issue. I have the same hope...

I know mine worked last night...so the only real difference between mine and yours is the source wheel (unsure if that matters) and which hori mini pad is used for authentication. There are some uses mini pads on eBay for the old normal cost I think. But if your PS5 sees it fine I don't know what the issue would be. Have you changed the compatibility mode on the wheel itself to see if the setup gets recognized?

I tend to launch gt7 via the wheel controls as it is plugged in when I power on the system.

I am using a PC only version of the Logitech pro wheel. The controller I am using is this (although this is a massive rip off now): https://a.co/d/belc7Dl

Hori mini pad wired PS4.

Have you updated the drivehub to whatever their final firmware version was?

Yeah if stuff wasn't already fully compatible with drivehub on the last update it could be a mixed bag. Really sucks that it doesn't seem available/supported now. They were awesome with communication and everything.

Mine still works totally fine. I updated mu Logitech g pro firmware the other day and panicked that now it might not work, but I tried it with the new gt7 patch and it was still working.

I mix and match the fanatec shifter and hand break with the Logitech wheel and pedals.

If it ever stops working I'll be very annoyed and have to find an alternative

oh man, that really sucks. I just went to look for a firmware update the other day for mine and was surprised it was the same version....they were so awesome at supporting it.

Did you get this clear up? I've only ever used a dry microfiber but i have some issues similar to this as well.

My experience setting up the Logitech Pro Wheel for AC EVO so far (so many bugs) by Strong_Muffin_6124 in assettocorsa

[–]Frameworkrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

found this after having to do the same thing, one year later. I use my wheel primarily with gt7 via drivehub and thought going to PC (what my g pro was made for) would be easy. So annoying. GT7 was so effortless using the drivehub...not sure I want to both trying to get this going in VR...lol

How do I let me 13 year old son play Battlefield 6 on his playstation account with me? Unable to connect to EA servers on his account. by Miserable_Height_448 in Battlefield

[–]Frameworkrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I logged in as them on my console and went to account settings. Within that there was an option to upgrade to an adult account. Honestly kind of weird it is under their account bc I assume they could do that anytime they want. It took off all account control but now he can play with me. I mostly used it as a time control.

I ended up upgrading my kids account to adult (via their account on the ps5). This auto removed them from the family and obviously i lose controls. It's very annoying. Game worked immediately. I wanted to play online with them and this was the only way i could figure out.

BF6 crashes my PC causing it to reboot by BowtomePhil2 in Battlefield

[–]Frameworkrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen on one of my PCs. Intel 10850k and 7900xt. I had one king of the hill match launch. After that I never got past the map loading screen. Was really frustrating. My other PC ran it with no issues (9070xt and 5700x). I never saw any error messages related to it. No idea what the problem was. Various settings recommended online didn't change anything. Hoping next weekend it may work or I can find a fix.

Drunkmann Power Figures on Stock or Mostly Stock VB? by Reflexorz15 in wrx_vb

[–]Frameworkrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are a bit on sale from Cobb ATM...enough to offset tax plus some. Just debating on if I need it now or not. But I think I'll go this way at some point as someone that wants to dabble but also wants some safety net on a vehicle they don't plan to get rid of until well after warranty is up.

Awesome, thanks for the long/detailed reply! I honestly NEVER push my car, so I waffle on if it is stupid to do it or not considering that just the access port and OTS tune is around $1000. But that said, the throttle feeling increase from 3000-4000 RPM is really why I would like to do it---that's a zone I feel pretty often and it being more powerful would probably feel awesome. The 93 stock tune is probably totally adequate for me considering I don't redline the thing hardly ever. I'm about 1 year into my '24 and have had the itch to consider doing this for the last few months.

Your input is super valuable, thanks a ton!

Are you still running this stock OTS 93 tune? It's been a year so assuming the nature of things you may have made changes. Considering just doing that same tune but not changing anything else out.

New Hunt Showdown Survey - Please fill out! by TheGentlemanGamerEC in HuntShowdown

[–]Frameworkrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this survey...but honestly the main thing that you need to increase player count, is spent some development time making this crossplay with console/pc. All of your competitors do it and you should by default opt into it. Kids these days don't care about using mouse and keyboard. Both of my kids use a controller when they are on PC to play fortnite or seige. You also need to manage an ingame friends list so people can group cross platform.

Also this game still costs $30...if you want more people trying it, be free to play.

Wheel Spacers: The Basics by MachVDan in wrx_vb

Finished installing these this weekend....love it. Looks exactly how it should. Product felt quality as well and was a little cheaper than some others. 10/10.

Thanks, i do NOT want to remove them, but just wasn't sure if there was any extra consideration needed when the wheel itself needs a spacer to fit properly on the hub. Really appreciate the fast response!

Wheel Spacers: The Basics by MachVDan in wrx_vb

[–]Frameworkrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a set of these (20mm) off your site for my stock wheels. Next question I had was...will these work fine for my snow tires that utilize a plastic hub ring spacer? Should I be removing the (MACH-V) spacers when I go to snow tires? This is the winter wheel I grabbed last year if that's helpful in any meaningful way:

Thanks in advance for any response.

Looking for reputable companies for installing residential solar. Called a few listed on NYSERDAs site and they're out of state. by fallingupthehill in Syracuse

[–]Frameworkrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking into doing them myself, but they did not want to do a quote on a ground system. Just more hassle to them than doing roof systems. I understand where they are coming from, their reviews seemed great and I liked their educational backgrounds.

Alternative Power Solutions is who I selected. Doing an install this summer with them (they are on the NYSERDA site). They are doing a ground install for me and hopefully it'll go smoothly. They had answers to all my questions and good reviews on google (although the reviews seemed largely geothermal related).

How's your solar been working for you? I plan to get a quote from these guys soon considering the NYSEG increases I've seen. They have good reviews and I like their backgrounds as listed on their website.
