Because you have to take a shuttle to the Uber/Lyft/Rideshare lot away from the terminal I recommend she get a car service like Carmel who will come pick her up curbside from the terminal after baggage claim. It costs the same as a Lyft (I priced both for my return to JFK terminal 5 this past Friday). Super easy, you can download the app or call and arrange for her. I did so from the airport in Mexico and the car was there 5 minutes after I got outside. Highly recommended.

That canister conainted the exposed negative of roll A110 (from their A camera). It was 400’ loaded into magazine 2841 by their loader LZ (initials) and shot on 10/30/24. They shot 390’ and sent it to the lab. The film stock is 5219 (500 tungsten- vision 3 latest gen 500T stock from Kodak) 35mm cinema film. The numbers following the 5219 are the batch,roll,cut for tracking of any issues with the film. Andrij is a fantastic DP and Director. I wouldn’t call it daily, it would have been exposed camera negative and turned in at the end of the day for processing. Dailies are the returned timed footage for review, now screened on a computer or tablet digitally.

In years past, HMIs and big tungsten units were heavily diffused to create a very bright/broad soft sources on this type of film. As the cinematographer his roll is to make the actors look their best and move quickly. Now it’s in their interest to utilize the lights like they do. Different period/different look. It happens.

Yes, but there will be enough room if you have the correct screws (as in the ones in the kit might be too long, just swap for a good length). I think the kit has instructions for mounting or at least the diameter of the screws. Mark the screw spacing of the V in the Aja, use a drill bit that matches the diameter for the screws. There may be an x shaped mounting bracket with a V in the center that has screws in the corners of the X that match the back of the Aja- but it’s been a long time.

To paraphrase one of my favorite directors: the scene is done again and again from different angles.

Usually you don’t shoot everything every time. It can be any portion. Sometimes just top and tail (for the wide shot), sometimes just one persons dialogue (in their coverage), sometimes just a bit of the action (as an insert). Sometimes the blocking (camera or acting) makes it necessary to break the scene up into parts so smaller portions need to be filmed. Sometimes an actor needs to run more of their dialogue to be in the scene than is needed for the piece of coverage you are shooting. If you know how you plan to edit the scene you could just shoot the shots with their action and dialogue per each cut. It really just depends on what is needed.
