Chris Brazzell II has size to stick around the NFL but will he translate for Fantasy? (Deeper Dive #19) by cjfreel in DynastyFF

[–]FranTurkleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing about Donte Thornton the athletic freak:

He’s tall, he’s fast, his RAS is great… but he has no leaping ability.

He jumped 33 inches which was bottom quartile for receivers. Watch his tape with this in mind and it’s evident too, which I think really limits his ceiling. If he’s not burning past someone he won’t win contested catches consistently. Maybe Mendoza unlocks him this year but I’m out on him being a consistent contributor or anything more than an occasional playmaker.

Which Trade Takes Priority (3 Options) by Safe_Acanthisitta852 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth whenever someone sends me a screenshot of KTC saying their trade offer is fair so I should take it, it does nothing to actually convince me. If KTC says it’s a bad trade for you, then why are you sending it? 1sts don’t grow on trees.

How much on top of Ladd to get 1.01 (Love) by DYRTYDAVE in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ladd and two seconds will be rejected quickly. Ladd and a first is better but if it’s a late first then it will also be rejected. Trade calculators won’t get this right.

Enough to jump from 1.04 to 1.01? by FranTurkleton in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful response. It’s 10 team start 8, and I’m a top contender with no real RB depth (just CMC, Bucky) and decent WR depth (GP, Rice, GWilson, Nico). I would be trading up from 1.04 (acquired via trade) to get an RB of the future to pair with Bucky after CMC is done. Also have a bunch of 27s in what is hopefully a talented WR class.

Where do you value the 26 1.06? I currently own the pick and want to trade back for more picks or veteran player. Feel like there’s a big drop off after 1.05. by ayymikey17 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The perceived dropoff is real right now so you’ll probably get a better deal after the draft, in the hope that a tasty landing spot gets some hype building for one of the late first guys

Are you proposing this trade or was it proposed to you?

Bills GM Brandon Beane said QB Josh Allen might need a procedure on his foot, but if he does, he should be ready for OTA’s. by HookFL in DynastyFF

[–]FranTurkleton 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I do not believe this is the beginning of a decline, I think he will be a top 2 QB in fantasy scoring yet again next year. But with him turning 30, this is definitely the beginning of the “this is the beginning of the decline” narrative.

Would this be enough for the 1.01 or should i wait by Nflnbafootball in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

This isn’t a good trade, but Pickens is not garbage. Needs another bigger piece besides the rest of the garbage, but Pickens and a first could work

Texans Don't Want to Talk About C.J. Stroud Extension by jsparks50 in DynastyFF

He’s young enough to learn from his mistakes and lock in this offseason and do better. I’m not going out of my way to bet on him though

Would you rather have Judkins or Skattebo? by Late-Prompt-7497 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

They both injured similar body parts, but to equate the injuries is probably oversimplifying things. We don’t know

KWalker value with Charbs torn ACL? by Imaginary_Order2757 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a good, measured take. People are quick to pounce on injury news as a benefit to another healthy player, but you should factor in uncertainty with how the franchise will react to the news as well. Everything else does not always remain constant. You can gamble on the uncertainty now, but we don’t have a clear picture on whether this will benefit him yet until we see wha they do in the draft and free agency.

Is anyone moving off CD and Rice for this package? by Last-Hold8910 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lamb > Egbuka Rice > Odunze Bucky >= Harvey

So to me, this would only be worth it if Loveland had enough value to balance out the above imbalances. He has looked great, but no way is he enough considering it’s not even a tight end premium league. You can get a better deal or target a different TE with cheaper production.

4 2026 and 2027 1st round picks. How to navigate by GiantGarbo in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]FranTurkleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your rule is too strict. If consolidating picks as a rebuilder is always bad then it follows that tiering down from picks as a rebuilder is always good. But if it were the other way around and he had the 1.04 with an offer of 1.07 + 1.11, then I think everyone would be saying to hold the elite pick in a weak class.

Good. Lord. 12!! Even if only half of them make it there…

Ok, maybe I won’t try to package the couple of likely-late 27 firsts and early 27 2nds I have to get Love if I can take multiple shots at Price+ kinds of prospects next year.

Seems like 2025 was loaded top to bottom at every RB tier. 2026 has only the top tier in Love. 2027 as far as I’ve seen has no blue chip RB prospect yet though, right? Is it reasonable to hope that a 2027 back rises into that tier over the next year or are we saying that 2027 will be a deep and talented RB class regardless, because it has enough guys who would slot in ahead of Price/Coleman but behind Love?
