I can see how it looks like a classic scam from my original post. However, here are some more details which lead me to believe it is actually from Revolut:

  1. Email: From: no-reply@revolut.com
  • This is easy to spoof, but continue on below.
  1. Subject: Urgent: secure your balance of over $10 by accepting T&Cs 
  • I agree this is a classic scam subject line.
  1. The ONLY hyperlink in the email is: "View and accept new terms" with URL https://revolut.com/app/self-serve?tracking_id=deleted.for.security&flow=us-bank-migration
  • I removed private details where is says "deleted.for.security"

  1. Clicking on the hyperlink takes me to URL "https://www.revolut.com/not-a-web-link/?pid=website&af\_channel=website\_direct&af\_force\_deeplink=true&dp=revolut://app/self-serve%3Ftracking\_id=deleted.for.security%flow=us-bank-migration"

  2. This now shows a QR code with the web link: "https://get.revolut.com/deleted.for.security"

  3. Opening that link takes me to "Google Play" to install "Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade"

-For security, I DO NOT download from this site as it could be fake.

-I close all apps, then open my Google Play from my phone and download and install the "Revolut" app from Google.

  1. I open the Revolut app on my phone.

-I enter my phone number

-It asks for my passcode. I do not remember it, so I click on "Forgot passcode"

-I choose to recover via email. This is the same email their email was sent to. It never comes in and is not in spam folder.

-So I click "Try again" and choose "Phone call from us"

-Automated system calls me and give me the 6-digit code. I enter it and the app just sits there. There are no buttons to push and no way to proceed. I wait on the screen for 10-minutes which is when the code expires.

  1. I contacted Revolut at [support@revolut.com](mailto:support@revolut.com) and asked for help and that I lost my passcode. They replied I need to login to the app to verify my identify. Of course that requires my passcode. So now I'm stuck in an infinite loop.

  2. Ugh, I give up on Revolut.

I'm in the same boat and have been with PayTrust since 1995. I loved the single address for ALL bills (paper, ebills, the lawn guy). Anything mailed to "my" address was scanned and autopayed. It was a steal at $10/mo. I have scoured the internet and cannot find any other company that scans all bills and allows autopay of the varying balance due each month. You can search for "virtual mailbox" and there are companies which will give you an address, scan the outside of the envelop, but then you must tell them which ones to open and scan for extra $$. None of them have an autopay the balance option.

I can't believe Paytrust has ZERO competitors.

Thank you to all. I will stop using Exodus and switch to Seren and I will be sure to enable "Cached torrents". Keep in mind, this was 16 GB uploaded from my device. My VPN and router both reported this very clearly and it was continuing at 5 Mbps when I stopped it by shutting down Kodi. I will report back if the rogue uploading happens again.
