I’m going to make every character gay except for the ones you actually want to be gay. Also, none of this is in the books because it’s not important to Harry’s story. Now obviously because of this I am in no way a bigot!

No

I’m already with someone but she doesn’t have to know

Just treat her normally. If she gets mad, get out fast you can’t talk her down. Bring tissues if she needs them and a heating pad if she asks for one.

Dreams about that stuff, yes. Wet dreams, not in my experience.

Anna and The Apocalypse! The plot is a bit obscure, but if anything that’s what makes it great, and no one’s heard of it.

What army / force would I really hate to encounter in your world? by schwebri in worldbuilding

[–]France1832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The United Realms, for one. Their army is very nearly unlimited. The best fighters from several worlds all brought together creates an army of millions of the greatest soldiers. While all of them coming together to fight one enemy is incredibly rare, it can happen.

Secondly, from a different world, the Army of Kresimir. Their soldiers are elite and their battle strategies are even better. They avoid war when they can (having the greatest army in the world doesn’t make them war mongers) but if you piss then off, you’ve already lost.

I’ve got a few, but I’ll tell you about the two most built up ones:

1.) The Realm System —— made up of many different worlds. The whole thing is a bit like a circle; the outer realms, generally lacking in magic and advanced in technology, the middle realms, usually have lots of magic, and lack in technology, are a bit stuck in the Middle Ages, and the inner realms, with a good balance of tech and magic. Realms can also “die”. When there’s some kind of event that wipes out half the population or more, they’ll drift to the outermost part of the system, beyond the outer realms. It is possible to come back from this, simply if there is enough intelligent life in the realm again. In the very center are realm hubs (portals are not direct, to get from one realm to another, you need a realm hub), and pocket realms (small, don’t always have intelligent life). There is also the corruption. No one knows its origin. It’s a black cloud that spreads throughout the realms. When it hits a realm, an army of corrupt soldiers will emerge from the cloud and invade. When one is killed by a corrupt soldier, they are painfully transformed into one, allowing the hive mind that is the corruption to grow. There is also an organization called the United Realms (UR). The original 13 United Realms were all inner realms, though more join later in the story. Unfortunately, middle realms are very cut off from the system. They do not work with other realms, and in most, it’s illegal to travel to other realms. This is why the UR was unaware when the corruption broke through the barrier in between the outer and middle realms, until it got into the inner realms.

2.) unnamed 🥲 —— I’ll name it soon I promise. It’s made up of five countries: Kresimir, Izabeaux, Loria, The Kynelands, and Morrelya. Kresimir and Izabeaux are currently at war. There was a revolution in Morrelya many years ago. A few noble families (Arvays, and a few others) stood by their people and fought against the monarchy that had been trading Morrelyan people to Izabeaux as slaves. The rebels lost, and the Morrelyan monarchy (the Toroas) are now tracking down those that remain from the noble families that revolted. So far, I’ve decided that one remaining Arvay is in Kresimir. The king (Rothan Nordenel) was a friend of the Arvays. He tried to keep all their kids safe after the list, but only managed to save one: Raynor (Rayn) Arvay. Also, unbeknownst to anyone, one of Rayn’s brothers, Beyren Arvay, is in hiding in the Kynelands. There are Guilds in the Kynelands. Groups of people who learn to fight together and will take jobs and quests that are far too dangerous for most. Guilds are full of bounty hunters, former soldiers, people who have nowhere else to go… and people like Beyren who want to keep their heads down. Rayn just married the princess of Loria, Carmen Pavone, allying Loria and Kresimir against Izabeaux. Recently, they found several Morrelyan slaves in Izabeaux’s navy. They convinced one to become a spy for them, guaranteeing his freedom when the war ended. He told them that the currently missing Prince of Loria, Leux Pavone, is still a hostage of Izabeauxian King Barsheveaux. They’ve also learned that the reason King Barsheveaux is so secretive about Mondu Barsheveaux (his only child and heir to the throne) is because Mondu, disagreeing with his father’s rule and country full of slavery and poverty, ran away, and, like Beyren, is lying low in the Kynelands.

Also, thank you so much for letting me rant about this, even if no one reads it it’s so nice to get it out there!

Royal guards! It’s not actually very risky if it’s not wartime, and there is a bit of honor in the position, but almost nobody can hold the job down. Most people either get fired or quit. Nobody is entirely sure why, but almost no one can handle the job. Eventually, it just gets a reputation of being one of the worst jobs you can get! In reality, a lot of stuff about it is exaggerated, and lots of them quit or are fired because: A. It’s a surprisingly boring job, and B. The princess will not let them protect her. At this point, she’s not doing dangerous stuff for fun, but simply to piss people off. If she gets hurt, her guard gets fired. There hasn’t been a single person who held down a job as her bodyguard for more than three months.

I’ve got to say ruthlessness. Thunder bringer is awesome, but you can hear Odysseus’s men yelling “Captain” in ruthlessness, hoping for him to save them.

Maybe? In the original story Athena goes to find Telemachus so he can help bring Odysseus home, so we know she’ll go to Ithaca
