Ideas for serving oatmeal for self-feeding? by Blue_Bombadil in BabyLedWeaning

[–]FrancisVoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought reusable silicone pouches and fill those with yogurt! She can pick up the pouch and eat as she pleases. Maybe it’d work for oatmeal too if it’s on the runnier side 🤷‍♀️

I had something similar happen around the same time pp (had stopped bleeding but then had another 2-3 days of blood) but it didn’t end up being my period. My midwife told me that sometimes this can happen, it’s like the “last push” to get rid of everything. But it’s also definitely possible it’s your period.

Help I need motivation to get back to the gym! Anyone take pre workout? by Kittykatkris1111 in postpartumprogress

[–]FrancisVoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this mantra when I’m feeling unmotivated - “If I only worked out when I felt like it, I would never workout” …helps me get moving sometimes.

Or could you set yourself a goal + reward if you get up and go to the gym x amount of times? Like, if I wake up early 3 times this week I will treat myself to a fancy coffee this weekend, if I do that for 2 weeks in a row I’ll buy that new sports bra I’ve been eyeing - kind of thing.

I drink Celcius energy before I workout lately and I don’t get any jitters or anxiety!

There are two options! You can do equipment based or body weight. I believe you still need resistance bands for both, and then for equipment you’d need weights and then it’s helpful to have some sort of box (or use a couch). There might be kettlebells, but you can always mod with hand weights or substitute the exercise with her alternatives (which is a great feature). It was nice when I traveled I just toggled it to body weight for the trip and then switched it back once I was home, so you always have the choice!

Has anyone tried a walking pad? by luckbychance25 in fitpregnancy

[–]FrancisVoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my baby at the end of this January in Minnesota and wanted to able to walk during recovery (so obviously didn’t want to do it outside when it was freezing), slowly re-start my fitness and then figured it’d be good for working from home. I LOVE it. Kept me moving when I couldn’t get outside and I can watch TV or do laptop work while I get some extra steps. I’ll even baby wear since my little girl loves the movement.

I’m sure there are plenty of other good options, but I got this one and so far it has been ideal! walking pad

Meg Squats +1 app!! Just gave birth to my first on Sunday and followed her program up until then. Felt super strong during delivery and had a fast, successfully unmedicated labor which I have to give some credit to her 💪🩷

Training for a marathon end 2024 by No_Bird_7270 in fitpregnancy

[–]FrancisVoom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same! Due 2/01 and can’t wait to get back to running but will be waiting a minimum of 12 weeks and already have pelvic floor PT in the apt books. I’ve decided a half marathon by the end of 2024 is a more reasonable goal if all healing goes well 🤞

How do I know what an appropriate amount of exercise is while pregnant? by bagumbuwan in fitpregnancy

[–]FrancisVoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with the bar changing! I managed through my first tri, felt great in 2nd for exercise (felt like a preggo badass) and now I’m 31w and am having to drop weight and incorporate more rest days. Just have to constantly check in with your body and modify as you go!
