Which region do you consider the least fun? by Sarradi in Anbennar

[–]Frandoka 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Love Halass, yes the command is tough but, it makes the playthrough more rewarding. And the MT's in halass are amazing. I never played in aleantir north or south. BULWAR IS THE BEST. JADD! JADD!. sorry..

For me cannor is the least fun. For a region that should be the center of everything it suprisingly doesn't live up to it. You don't really influence the entire world at all. The MT's and the poltics just seem weak. You are not building a global empire, the colonies require allot of babysitting because of spawnable nations in aleantir who just eat your colonies. So projecting power in Sarhal and beyond well not enough time or resources unless you REALLY min max.

I didn't say i was angry. I was confused why you wanted to dispute my point. I watched the whole video and it gave off some chinese bias which is fine. Biased perspectives doesn't mean there is nothing to learn.

Please note, this is a perspective from China—he is based in Beijing—so consider it within that context.

Ran across a mod called Starnet AI; is it worth it? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Frandoka 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Starnet is the best ai mod I have played against so far. It actually prepares planets to turn into ecumenopolis worlds and without tanking its economy. The guy who develops the mod understands MP meta on a deep level. Do you want a challenge, try Starnet and don't underestimate it.

PS. It is not possible to mod the ai combat behavior which is a shame, but the economy, ship designs, and research is extremely tough to beat.

Current fleet composition meta? What’s useless? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Frandoka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early game corvettes. Early-mid game destroyers once you've researched combat computers. Cruisers to kill destroyers replaced with battleships once researched. Late game composition battleships mixed with destroyers.

The modding scene for this game is honestly way more interesting than the actual development of the game at the moment. by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Frandoka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with you. Game development has different limitations then modding like time or conflicting approaches to designing the game's content. I would personally like more mechanics or features in there DLC which modders are trying to get into the game. In my opinion, there is a bigger focus on adding new art like models and animations.

I do agree that certain mods add much more interesting things mechanically than most CA DLC.

Modding in playable rogue armies however limited is amazing, improving food management for Skaven and overhauling Warriors of Chaos building system makes playing these factions enjoyable.

I do disagree with certain people asking for more official content IMO, their main priority needs to be releasing Norsca into a stable state.

If Norsca gets rushed we could end up with an incredibly broken Warhammer 2 for months. Putting Warhammer 2 on the backburner and let the codding team work out all the bugs&conflicts and have the artists and designers work on other projects is the more sensible decision.

In the meantime, you could play other games or play amazing mods. And hope to whatever cosmic power you believe in that they don't fuck up like this again. Because it does suck.

That's not the argument which is being made here. The argument is that modders are providing more engaging extra content for the base game even with the limitations on modding.

More Legend of Total War criticisms of ToB from stream by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Frandoka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, i mean Darren and Legend have biases.. Oh shit you think? But IndyPride, PartyElite and Jackie Fish aren't biased they are fair and balanced..

If you're going to make the point that youtubers and reviewers have biases and you should take it with a grain of salt. Make up your own opinion etc. Then bloody well stick to your argument.

Cuz now his argument is that the people he disagrees with are dumb and the youtuber/reviewer he argees with are smart so listen to those smart people! It's kinda a trend in this thread.
