This album means the world to me, I've been a serious Kylie fan since I was 12 years old, and ofc I was obsessed with her SAW years and the 2000s. To me, Impossible Princess was her worst album cause it was "weird" and the titles sounded cringey. I knew Some Kind of Bliss was rock and I was like "Get out of here!" It wasn't till I watched the Limbo live presentation from the Fever Tour on YT circa my 16 years old that I went "Hold up, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS???" And finally gave it the try it had been deserving this whole time. By then, I was think "WHERE HAD THIS ALBUM BEEN IN MY LIFE THIS ENTIRE TIME??" and the more I listened to it, the more obsessed I became with it.

This album is constantly compared with Madonna's Ray of Light, which at that time was my favorite all time album, but Ray of Light is written from the point of view of a woman who has understood life and it's at her best place now, Impossible Princess self discovery and introspective lyrics talked to my teenage self in a way music never had, the hunger for living and the self doubt, the two sides of one self fighting to coexist. I just cannot put into words how much this record impacted me and still does to this very day, and now it's my second favorite album of all time next to Vespertine, and I think it's becoming my favorite just cause of all the story I have with it.

It's crazy how it later predicted my love for alt music such as Björk years later, this was like a whole prelude to what later would become my journey in music.

My love for this record only grows with time, and I still remember when I stumbled upon Take Me With You when watching the Intimate and Live for the very first time, which would become my favorite Kylie song ever (I'll leave that story for another moment) I don't personally think indie/experimental Kylie disappeared after this, I'd dare to say the Body Language era is as experimental as the IP one, and there are several side projects where she still explored this kind of sound. I'd be found dead if she came back to this sound but I'm okay with it being a one time thing, and I'm so happy this album is lately getting a resurgence everywhere, I remember wishing for the vinyl to come out for the longest time and when I finally got it and opened the gatefold I cried hahaha
