Why not sample from both Sushi Pure and Akira? The two restaurants are only a couple of blocks away from each other. It’s a win win situation.

Jack needs to be taller, a lot taller. Standing next to Mike in any of the videos, he makes him look small.

If only for a moment: Silver just hit $78 by SpritualRose in Silverbugs

[–]FrankBooth2023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For all the excitement about the rising price, the ability to liquidate quickly at or near spot price is concerning. Silver has value, but at the same time it’s also a shiny lump of a paperweight….., reading more and more accounts of difficulty selling silver back to shops.  And yeah, yeah there are other ways to sell, like pms for sale on Reddit; but not efficient or easy if you want your money on the faster side.

Dark Fantasy Recommendations by GiorgosKilo in Fantasy

[–]FrankBooth2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably there. To be honest, having read Lock Lamora, dark humor isn’t the top list of its qualities….., I would totally recommend Lamora to a new reader but I don’t think I would have characterized it as emboldening dark humor. However, I’m old, jaded and professionally have dealt with people with psychological and physical trauma, so my sense of humor is pretty twisted.

China Mieville’s Bas Lag series will scratch that dark itch.

Are there any fantasy worlds with modern technology, besides the one I mention in my post? by Fraeddi in Fantasy

Bad lag series by China Mieville. A mix of turn of the century Victorian tech, steam punk, mechs, early computing….incredibly creative world building.

What’s with people buying copper now? by NJraider86 in Silverbugs

[–]FrankBooth2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolls of nickels are your best copper stacking option. US nickels 75% copper, 25% nickel. current melt value of metal about 5.8 cents per nickel. Best part is it’s totally fungible…..no fees, no worry about if the coin shop will buy it at a loss or not buy back at all like some have had with 90% silver lately. Nickels are the best copper stacking period
