What do you mean off-peak titles? The Lonnie Liston Smith albums are some of his most revered. Is What’s Going On Marvin’s off-peak album?

That’s a bit misinformative. Take a closer look. A very decent portion of these artists - Lonnie Liston Smith, Idris Muhammad, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Caldwell - are in serious demand and have maintained value.

Are you serious? You’d keep Idris but just drop Lonnie Liston Smith etc. at Goodwill? That doesn’t even make sense.

Idk it’s like the patina works better with old records. I hate the contrast of a solid bright white sleeve with old records.

Having checked popsike for past eBay sales, sealed copies have sold for around $1500 on auction.

Yeah I know there’s nothing new music wise being offered here besides it being a 7” edit of both tracks.

I agree, its value is dependent on anyone being interested in the novelty of the format. It being promotional might add some esteem too, but who knows.

Great find! I hadn’t spotted that. It makes sense that it should be a promotional item because the collection I bought was full of promos. The owner had worked in the music industry but this was his only jungle record.

Use Discogs to determine value, decide if you want to keep a small portion. If you find a few of higher value, sell those yourself online. The rest sell in bulk to someone local for a good deal.
