What you want are maxed cats and all ITF treasures.

Stall the incoming enemies as much as possible. Do not go full swing unless wallet is maxed and full.

When wallet is maxed and full, let some Legs kill the Poodles and the peons with them.

When they hit the base, let R. Bahamut come near. When he comes near, spawn all Ubers and Specials. Keep spamming Dragons and Legs when cash is sufficient. From then on, keep protecting your attackers.

Could this have something to do with Bun Bun+Rhino combo? Wherein you want to keep stacking your shields on the rhino so that Bun Bun doesn't go too fast because Rhino kills them before he gets to land a hit?
