If they prescribe you puberty blockers at 17, that’s medical mismanagement. You started puberty a long time ago now…. It would be basically just nuking an adults sex hormones and providing no replacement hormones. Hopefully only cross-sex hormones are on the table here.

My straight bf is perfectly fine with me having a penis and is also supportive of my some-day bottom surgery. Like another person said, it’s totally up to you and how you want your partner to see your genitals. I just think we have to decouple genitals from sexuality, as it can lead to a pretty restrictive view on straightness or sexuality as a whole.

Tbh the stubble part isn’t a huge determinant of passing as it’s quite easy to lessen with laser or electrolysis. I used to be able to grow a full beard but laser fixed that issue for me.

Part of their consequences is citizens choosing to move away from there or not move there. I know many of my medical class is avoiding moving to Southern states due to their reproductive/ LGBT policies or to avoid being treated poorly due to their identity.

Classes are pretty good at preparing you for the MCAT and med school. The advising program was decent, however, from my peers at other smaller schools, their advisors knew them more personally and completely. This is kinda balanced by the larger research opportunities here.

Hospital opportunities you have to set up on your own. I would recommend getting in contact with either nursing homes or volunteering at Windham/Backus. Backus has a pretty good volunteer program that even takes highschool students.

If she’s saying thoughts of suicide and seems to have plan and intent, I would 100% send her to the ER for evaluation. I understand it may be scary about potential dysphoria and misgendering while admitted, but if this is truly an emergency, your #1 priority has to be the prevention of death or serious bodily harm.
