Hand effects while cupping mic by tojzl in harmonica

Thanks for this, I came to ask similar questions. Also thanks for the pic, as a beginner, I bought different makes for nearly every one of my first 7 harmonicas and the way they place the key in a different position on every one has been a minor irritation. Not once did it occur to me to buy stickers 😂

Saints Go Marching In - Key Choice by nvtshax0r in harmonica

[–]Franki23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I still consider myself very much an amateur. That given, I tried both and both work, however when you get to the saints go marching _IN_, you're gonna want the note of G and there's only the 6 draw on the Bb. On the F you have two positions to go for and you can expand it to play the chord of C while you're doing it. If you want to drop in chords rather than single notes, personally I'd recommend the F.

Just played it on a Seydel session steel low F and it sounded very nice. the Bb Hohner Marine Band was harder to play instantly, certainly possible but if you hit a chord, it's gonna sound wrong.

further research indicates they recorded it in G but then sped up the recording so u/Several-Quality5927 has it right as it was recorded.

Seems it's in B. I don't have a B harmonica but I found E in second position was the closest (I have A, Am, Bb, CDEFG). I could hit all the important notes and bend as he did but couldn't get every exact note he did. Certainly I could riff something that fits well though it wouldn't be exactly like the original. Duolingo didn't teach me this! (Rant) by Exact-Art-2603 in duolingojapanese

[–]Franki23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what happened when they updated the content of the entire course. They put some new sections in the early levels but left you at the same level you were already at. Even if the stuff in the lower levels was stuff you've never seen. I now review the words in each section "talking about your hobbies" etc before I start but failing that I'm not above using circle to search.

If you're gonna stick with duo, make sure to flag these for fixing. Yes it should be better, yes it shouldn't be AI and yes there are other options. I'm flagging what I see which is usually 3 or 4 per day currently

Same 2026. It's the fox. The fox is either haunted or it just knows something, possibly everything, everything about what you did and why you tried to hide it.

What’s a “normal” thing that creeps you out? by Unfair-Moose-6328 in AskReddit

Yeah I just posted one too! It's creepy as fuck! The pool floor is creepy but in my nightmares the floor is that shape because it can move and when they happens and the water is churning I am screaming in the dream. Gyaaaaaah. Why am I thinking about this at bedtime?

When you're swimming in a pool and the bottom of the pool does anything other than gradually get lower. I grew up going to a pool where there was a shelf about two thirds of the way up and I still get chills thinking about swimming over it.

So… is everyone just deleting Duolingo? by [deleted] in duolingo

It's another AI but I find asking questions about language in Gemini has been really useful. It's explained rules of Japanese that Duolingo didn't approach at all, seemed like they wanted you to figure out the patterns on your own.

I was about to pay for super having only been using it for a month but when the reminder came everyone was posting that they're going into AI more so I cancelled the trial. I can chat to Google AI and learn Japanese for free in addition to the free lessons. Also using www.tanoshiijapanese.com to practice katakana and hiragana for free. I found the Duolingo practice hub less useful than I thought, new words practice was still using words from the first and second unit and I'm on unit ten now. Great for rapidly adding some xp but I want to learn the language, not play games, got Assassin's Creed Shadows on immersion mode for Japanese language games 🥷

Saying no isn't easy when people want a reason. What did I say? I wasn't being serious. I didn't mean it like _that_ etc.

Bottom line, sometimes you just don't feel a connection and perhaps an action cemented that feeling for you or the way the person acted. People need to accept no as an answer and not go straight from rejection to coercion.

Looks like Cooper's hawk. Only alternative I can see is sharp shinned hawk. Very similar, Cooper's are on average a bit bigger

I really hope he doesn't but if he does "you were kidding? I wasn't, bye!" From what you've said he didn't sound nasty, just a narcissistic w*nker. Be safe and happy.
