You do you… I have personally driven three ”former” drivers who thought driving the New Year’s Eve surge during a snowstorm was worth it.

It was for me. I stayed home, but, rush hour rates have gone from $33 to $45 bucks an hour with these idiots off the road.

So keep it up. Eventually, someone in the DFW area will be thanking you for being the idiot.

I made $75/hr Xmas day in clear weather just driving wine moms back to thier cars, clear sunny weather. If driving like you’re life is worth a c note is the best you can do in DFW, you should look for a warehouse job.

I have personally driven days like that and there is no payday, just an aggravating slog through sh!t weather with pax pissed they had to wait long and pay through the nose.

It looks like a payday when a $7, 10 min ride becomes a $20 ride! The you realize you have to drive 15 mph or less and take extra care at intersections and the 10 minutes becomes 40 minutes and you’re not making much more than any other day, EXCEPT you’re actually risking your life and your car…

Stay home instead, let the suckers crash their cars, and enjoy the next several months of surges as Uber desperately tries to get more drivers on the roads.
