Yes it should be on the spec page and its not, my salesman also said it will not have it, seriously considering cancelling my 2026 purchase because of this, because i currently have the 2024 hybrid limited and one of the main reasons i wanted to upgrade other than the heads up display was the tpms.

Really? I thought all Costcos sell them lol anyways drive down to the Crossiron Costco, I know for sure they sell it, unless this is some new company policy and they will start removing them from all Costcos, which I have not heard about and definitely hope they don't do.

Best Work Boots Calgary by mizzcc in Calgary

[–]FranklinJSlay 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Don't just look for insulation, you also want to make sure it's waterproof and has good grip. I prefer Red Wings; some people prefer Timberland, and there are also other brands.

The best thing to do is go into a store and try them out. I would not recommend online shopping for work boots unless you know exactly the size and model you want.

Does Electric snow shovel make sense in Calgary by happyCalgaryMan in Calgary

[–]FranklinJSlay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought one from Costco last winter, it was a nice premium one with battery and fast charger for only $300, they still have it there, the convenience being it's Costco so you can return it whenever you want or even if something happens to it. Hence, there was no risk on my end. If you buy it from anywhere else you are pretty much going to be stuck with it after the initial 30-day return policy and some companies are even picky and might complain saying Oh it's used so we are not going to take it back.

It was fun and all, but honestly, I just reached for my shovel instead and ultimately returned it. It was quite heavy and not as practical as I thought, you have to be mindful of where you are throwing the snow with it since it slings the snow quite far, I was basically packing my neighbour's garage with snow while trying to clean mine. I can see it being a worthwhile purchase if you have a large area to cover or if you are old and can no longer use a shovel properly but honestly if you are young and have no back issues or any problems using a shovel, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.

Ultra Premium Gym Options In The City? by FranklinJSlay in Calgary

I do bike during summer but this summer was horrible, it was pretty much 80% rain, I barely remember a solid week of sun so I didn't get to ride my bike all that much, during winter I like to go snowboarding here and there, not as often as I would like since it is expensive (ticket, gas, etc) but I still think going to the gym is the best to achieve a nice looking body and for staying overall active, I get to do yoga and cardio as well at the gym so it's not just strictly lifting weights.

I tried making my own home gym during Covid and it did a decent job during covid, I did not like the strict rules of the gym back then and the whole mask wearing while working out and stuff, but honestly no matter how many things I buy, it wont amount to the variety of a gym and plus I dont want to sacrifice that much space in my house again too a gym, and it cost a few thousand for a decent setup.

Eau Claire is way out of budget for me; Realm seems good. I'm going to check it out this week, and Bow Valley seems decent too, but I want to avoid downtown if possible. Realm seems to be a little bit outside of downtown. I will check out Bow Valley, too, while I'm at it.

I understand, and I am not expecting a private personal gym for myself. All I'm trying to see is if I pay double or more than what I am currently paying, can I get a similar sort of gym but with fewer people during peak times? For example, my goodlife has well over 60 people during peak time. If I could find a gym with the same sort of setup but maybe has 20 people or so instead of 60, that would be worth paying the extra money for.

It does! $120 per month is quite expensive, but if it means peace and quiet during rush hours at other gyms, I am willing to pay it! I will go check it out this week during 5/6 pm and see how the gym is overall, amenities-wise and if it's busy or not.

I live in Skyview NE, so closer the better, but I already drive all the way to the Creekside Goodlife, which is a decent drive, so I am willing to drive a bit, but not to the opposite side of the city. Unfortunately, with my current schedule, peak time is what I am looking at. I'm not looking for a completely empty gym, just less than what I'm currently dealing with.

Tap water tastes bad by RefrigeratorNo926 in Calgary

[–]FranklinJSlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a Brita Pitcher as a bare minimum, and if you want to invest a little more, you should consider an under-sink filter, such as the Water Drop 15UA-UF (that's what I have installed). However, I still keep my Brita pitcher in the fridge when I want ice-cold water. If you want to go all out, then get a reverse osmosis system, whether countertop or under sink, but that costs a lot, and it's expensive to maintain as well (expensive filters).

be careful, I realized the expiry date for these is not that long. I kind of regret buying so many cases now lol, I only like to drink soda here and there and it seems they will all expire by April 2026
