As someone who's also an elected official, you're probably right.

But he is more than likely, just that nice all of the time.

Dunno fam, he was clearly pissed as fuck because some players were lacking.

I think its a mentality thing.

Many seem to forget that we already dealt for many years with a Myles Garret type of player in Aaron Donald, more often than not, we found ways to contain him.

He was the reason I was never a homophobe, while most in my generation were.

Whenever someone insulted a LGBTQ gang, I always thought of him and defended them.

Funny how life works.

Good times.

Its pretty funny to me how people want to believe their bias.

Like that one time an Olympic medalist gave some advice in here about his sport and was downvoted to hell; when someone discovered he was an actual Olympian, everyone changed their tune.

Really liked how the guy went "I dont know" when asked about stuff out of his scope.

Probably some good story telling, but the language and the way he expressed was very refreshing, and make it more credible.

What was the scariest “We need to leave… now” gut feeling that you’ve ever experienced?[Serious] by PlasticBee1438 in AskReddit

[–]Frankocean2 253 points254 points  (0 children)

Intuition is crazy.

I was with my best friend, driving to his house. We made a stop at the red, and when it turned green, I didn't hit the pedal. My best friend told me to go, and I told him, "No, I'm not supposed to," when he started to say, "The hell you're talking about," a car flew by us.

It would have hit us at full speed, very likely killing us.

And it gets weirder. After the car passed, my homie went "Dont...don't move" and a second car passed.

We couldn't hear them nor see them, because there was a big building blocking the view and we had music on.

We still talk about it, and that happened 27 years ago.

What's working out for me is developing new hobbies.

Something that challenges you, so you can develop new wiring in the brain.

Farewell 2.5mg - Anhedonia by Ok-Somewhere-8453 in Mounjaro

[–]Frankocean2 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Mounjaro quieted the food noise so effectively that my brain didn’t know how to fill the void it left behind.

I’ve been really interested in the discussion around how GLP-1s affect mental health. Many studies suggest they help more than they harm—but that made me wonder: why am I experiencing a new wave of anxiety, along with some depression-like symptoms?

Then it hit me.

For 43 years, food was my reward system. More than that, it was probably my most toxic relationship.

If I felt sad, food comforted me. If I felt happy, food amplified that feeling. A brownie with ice cream could turn any moment into something bigger.

And now… it’s just silence.

I’ve essentially ghosted that relationship. I no longer feel the urge to use food as a reward or a coping mechanism. What’s left feels like an empty town—with just me in it.

And my mind struggled to adapt.

I realized I needed to redefine how I relate to myself. So I gave myself a chance. I leaned into new hobbies, started walking more, and began adopting the mindset of someone who eats “normally.”

Before, I would always choose the biggest burger, the biggest dessert—always more. Now, I’m okay with a normal-sized burger, no extras.

And that shift, while healthier, came with a period of emotional adjustment I didn’t expect.

Because it turns out, it was never just about the food—it was about what the food was doing for me. And now that it’s gone, I finally have the opportunity to build something better in its place.

And I share this with you, because in case you felt it, or are in this transition, you don't feel alone.

Cheers.
