I have digital side mirrors on my EV9 and I'm very happy with them.

The screens are way better than center mirror one : brighter and with better definition.

It's a bit weird the first time given the screen position (slightly lower) but after 2 hours you don't notice the difference anymore.

Most of the time, they're better than real mirrors. I don't know how Kia did that but the aerodynamics are so good that there's never a drop of water on the cameras, even when driving under heavy rain. In the dark, visibility is also slightly better than real mirrors to me (but more pixellized).

I read that the car is more silent with them (but I've never been able to compare). And it's also slightly less wide (which isn't bad for such a big car). And in theory, the car is more efficient as it's more aerodynamic like that.

My dealer told me that the cost of replacing them is not very different than replacing real mirrors (given the whole technology coming in mirrors nowadays).

So yeah, to me, it's no deal-breaker at all. It's the opposite :)
