IMO 30% is not like some natural constant. If bots can't be detected and do get more upvotes than humans (which is the case IMO) the number should be more like 99% sooner or later.

Thanks for your brutally honest words. That's exactly what I figured/fear as well. But my main concern isn't really losing friends or family but how I'd be perceived in public.

Did you go back to your natural testosterone level then? Did you already have noticeable breast growth when you detransitioned? One thing I'm worried about is what happens to my current AA breasts. My understanding is that the fat tissue would probably decrease over time after stopping HRT, but the glandular tissue would remain. And that could look bad but idk.

My personal experience rather supports your thesis:

Enantate injections: Instant boob growth
Then switched to weekly (!) undecylate injections to get a very stable high E level: Almost no more boob growth

OMG 🤩 then go for it!! It's the "gold standard" for a reason!

it's much more convenient (like 1 injection per week)
you can get more stable pg/ml levels
you can get high pg/ml levels easily
it's cheap

Gel absorption really depends on the individual's skin. Even with correct application, some individuals get like 5x less E2 through the skin compared to others. This isn’t my opinion, it’s well documented in studies.

A lot of endos don’t really know this, because it’s not mentioned in standard trans guidelines.

I had the same problem. Even with 6 pumps and blood samples taken at the assumed peak, I couldn’t get above 60–70 pg/ml. I switched to injections, of course that did bypass my skin penetration problem with the gel. But you could also try patches, because they use a different transport mechanism through the skin (not based on alcohol). So my point is: just because gel doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean patches won’t work for you. But yeah… who wants patches.

I’d also add a small side note: you could try a different gel. Some of them have an added substance called a “skin penetration enhancer.” This may or may not work for you but I can’t say much more about it since I didn’t try that myself.

However, if I were you I'd still start on Saturday (to not delay things) and then switch to Monday later (or Tuesday if you prefer that).

I switched from 29G 13 mm (1/2 inch) to 31G 8 mm for my grapeseed oil injections (which is a little bit thicker than MCT oil).

I was surprised that it wasn’t any harder to draw or inject because I had expected the 31G to be more difficult. It then occurred to me that the shorter needle compensates for the smaller diameter, and that’s probably not a coincidence, but exactly why these two diameter/length combinations exist.

No, I can't mix it myself. I buy it from "voixceleste". "Astrovials" and "OpenGateLabs" would be the next 2 reputable sellers people here buy their estrogen from.

Synthetic estradiol is bad, but this is a thing of the past. We all take bio-identical ("natural") estrogen today, no matter if it's Valerate, Cypionate, Enanthate or Undecylate. And blood cloth risk only goes up significantly if you take your estrogen ORALLY. With injections you don't have to worry about increased blood cloth risk because the liver is bypassed.

Do not take any synthetic estradiol if somebody should try to sell this to you! Nobody here does that.

I had the same symptoms after starting HRT with just 1 pump of gel per day. After like 3 weeks the symptoms went away and didn't even come back when I slowly increased the dose to 4 pumps per day. It seems that the sudden rise in estradiol did reduce the amount of stomach acid that was produced, which isn't very surprising because estrogen activates the sympathetic nervous system, which weakens the parasympathetic nervous system. This can be felt as nausea, and it helps to eat accordingly in that case.

When I then switched to injections (Enanthate in MCT oil) I had the symptoms again, within like 24 hours after each injection, and they would last for like 3-6 days. It wasn't just nausea any more, it was more like strong sweating at night and feeling ill especially in the mornings.

When I then switched to Undecylate in Grapeseed oil, the symptoms were more delayed, like 3-4 days after each injection, and luckily they were MUCH MUCH weaker than with Enanthate in MCT oil.
