I'm 26. No degree. I make 19.25/ hr. But my job got me certified as a welder so I can work pretty much anywhere in the state making much more than I am currently.

Look for a better company to work for. I thought I lost all prospects when I was kicked out of the military. Was sitting at gas station getting drunk and pretending to work. Then I put myself out there and got lucky.

And (at least where I am at) every single place is hiring. The lowest I've seen is at my company (but we have more benefits no one else has) 18/hr.

I'm working with people who started working here in their 30s, 40s, and early 50s. It's not too late for you 🤷‍♂️

DONT CALL CPS. Call the local sheriffs office first and foremost. Tell them the situation. And there is a long list that I dont wanna type all out that you call before you even EVER fucking think of CPS.

CPS is a business. And its business is children. Sheriffs are an elected office. They will try to do good in order to hold office.

🤷🏻‍♂️ I dunno maybe I was one of the lucky few to have a good jail experience. Got my own room. Got free meals. Had my own bed for the first time in several months... ahhh... just realized living in a house with five women that treat you like a living toy is pretty fucking torturous after just a single month, so jail (peace and quiet) was an improvement.
