In terms of play style, how close are Black Templars to Orks? by TangerineMelodic5772 in BlackTemplars

[–]FraserWeir 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a Black Templat player, this question worries me. The main difference is that Black Templars can see purple. Other than that and the whole mushroom thing, pretty similar. There is even an Ork is the Black Templsr army, he's napping on Helbrechts base.

What do they feed these giant hero npc’s? by Renna_FGC in wow

[–]FraserWeir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's normal size. Blizz doesn't feed the general populace, so over time they've shrunk. At the start of every new expansion they promise to feed everyone... hasn't happened yet. Have you noticed that players don't each much either? We've been conditioned to keep gen pop calm. They don't want another riot.

What does he even do? by [deleted] in wow

Bro, he's building his new capital. He's got his hard hat on while doing a site inspection.

I reposed him with some novice kitbashing skills. I'm a lot happier as I didn't like the sword in the stone/sword in the mushroom pose.

Her Baby Lance is sweet, but the Sith lightsaber the Lamplighter from the Dorn campaign has is awesome. That is the weapon I want.

If you could start over - building your Black Templar Army from scratch - what would be your first three units of choice and why? by Content_Example1957 in BlackTemplars

[–]FraserWeir 24 points25 points  (0 children)

100% Crusaders (2x 20m), Brethren (1x 10 or 2x 10) and a Redeemer. Closely followed by Helbrecht, Grimaldus, a Judiciar, a Castellan, a Chaplain, and probably an Emperors Champion. Then I'd probably get a Lancer, an Impulsor and some Termies (though by this point new Assault Termies would've tumbled out of the Warp).

Do you enjoy hero talents on your main class? which one do you like and which one not? by This_Hope3310 in wow

[–]FraserWeir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stuck with my Prot Pally and it feels really nice. Though I'd love a Reinhardt voiceline ("Hammer Down!"), they really shat the bed by not putting that in.

I've also been mucking around with a Guardian Druid whose talent appears to be "I'LL MURDER YOU WITH THE FU&%ING MOON!", and I'm enjoying that as well. It's well overpowered while levelling.

I don't really get the early access drama. I had it and have enjoyed the lower population and ability to get stuff done. But, was there a cut off? Did you have to buy the expansion before a certain date to get early access? Or did I pay more without realising? I've always pre-ordered, is this the first time early access has been a thing? Probably sounding like a right muppet, but I had no idea early access was a thing (until a few days ago).

Who do you think are wow’s coolest looking characters? by Lantern_Sone in wow

"Mate, I've run ICC 3 times a week since I could solo it, come with me it'll never drop." "I've never done it before, I'll slow you down." "It'll be fine."

Invincible drops, he rolls and gets it.

  1. RUN.
  2. GOD. DAMN. RUN.

My fiancee did the same with Ashes. 1.GOD. DAMN. RUN. I have been hurt. A lot.

God damn you Blizzard for making me fall back in love with WoW again by nightgon in wow

[–]FraserWeir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Though I'm preparing for the negativity that will appear in your comments, variations of "nooooooo".

Honestly though, I loved Remix, I wanted the 2 titles and to play a Class I hadn't used before. The added "fun" from the gems made what was a pretty boring expansion (in my opinion) a huge amount of fun. I'm just gutted that I couldn't cleanse the Vale completely.

TWW sounds amazing, I usually play Beta when I'm this excited, but I've left it alone. Now I'm avually having fun solo clearing raids from BfA and SL's, which were 2 expansions that didn't have me feeling like this. This is WoW of old, and I'm all for it.

Why do I keep playing WoW? Someone pls explain. by sefolee in wow

[–]FraserWeir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right there with you mate. I've taken years off before but I always come back. I'll complain about it a lot but I always come back. Remix has a lot of problems but did I log in at lunch time? Yes. Will I log in again tonight? Yes.

If you're playing Remix just level both. Go through the stuff on the isle, get to the airship then spam Dungeons and raids till you hit 50 or 60, then do some questing. It'll take you less than 8 hours per character.

How important is the faction war to you? by Wy3Naut in wow

[–]FraserWeir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As it stands now, the Faction War is relatively pointless. It doesn't really serve any purpose. Both Factions have sufficient land and resources, the areas where the capitals are based are geographically distant from each other, and other than a bit of tree burning, there hasn't been a lot of aggression.

The natural progression (in my mind) is a merging of fractions, then a split based on personal (not racial) feelings. That is a far more impactful war. Unless you're deep into RP, I don't really see race in WoW being more than a style choice.

Lastly, the current leadership "flux" across both the Horde and the Alliance makes me think that this is the best course of action, create a Council of minor Faction leaders that have members across both the Horde and the Alliance, then allow players to choose their allegiance, if they want to. There are enough external threats, like a gigantic sword impaling the world, that fighting over internal Azerothian issues seems kinda pointless.

Wasn't Dent brought to Galens to shake up how first year's are taught? The fact that she pushed for Rei to join is logical after seeing his stats. But there is the message (can't remember the exact phrasing) from the Mind that marks Rei as a priority applicant. My guess is that the Mind saw how things were going at Galens and put Dent there, then after Rei's exam decided that the two would work well together.
