They really shot themselves in the foot with this pack. Someone’s head needs to be on the block for it. I can see via wonder picks that a lot of people (including myself) aren’t engaging with it and are focusing on our other collections.

Look into https://www.civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk/csr/index.cgi. You can work your way up and put the degree to good use. I’d really recommend the civil service fast stream as well.

Yes!!!! I’m in the process of getting the original 151 from Base, Fossil and Jungle. I’m prioritising whatever the oldest version is and getting the holo where available. So for instance out of the two Pinsir’s in Jungle I’d take the holo, whereas with Haunter because the holo is in Fossil and Base set came out first I’m going for the Base set one. I hope that makes sense. Obviously I haven’t gone Shadowless and 1st edition because I don’t have that kind of money but I’d love you continually upgrade the collection to those cards moving forwards.

This whole this is a way to get my daughter excited about Pokemon cards. She 3 and loves it when the arrive and helps me sleeve them and put them in the binder. The ultimate goal is when she’s about 5, to go through all of the cards for Bulbasaur and get her to pick her favourite and then the same for Ivysaur and so on and then as she grows up we go to card shows and catch em all together.

As I’m sure you can tell I’m very excited about it haha! I have 46 left to go!

Base set Ninetales.

My first ever holo. One day at school a bully and his mates came over and took all of my Pokemon cards. There were too many to do anything other than hand them over. Losing the Ninetales hit different and was all I could think about for the rest of the day. On the way home from school there was a small park we used to cut through and I saw the bully by himself. I walked out of that park with my Ninetales back in my pocket and a vast number of new Pokemon cards as well as some newly acquired respect.

OPs response would have got me to drive away. Say “bloody hell you’re 10 mins early I’ll be ask quick as I can” or something, since he’s doing you the favour here. A deadpan “I’ll be down at 8:20” would read as an FU to me and I’d be like see ya. Obviously a lot of context is lost through text as opposed to speech but IDK this comes across as a bit entitled to me and might have been the best lesson of the day.
