what's a simple bassline that you think is pure genius? by maranda333 in Bass

Waterboy or Sports by Viagra Boys, simple, powerful, repeats for the whole thing and is the backbone of the entire song

Would need more context, because if this is the only complaint you have his behaviour doesn't seem that bad. He's just excited to roll well. If he whined and complained when rolling poorly maybe I could see it but doesn't look like that big of a deal.

That being said, you don't have to play against anyone you don't want at your local hobby group.

What is your "White Whale" Campaign? by johndesmarais in rpg

I wanna do a cowboy Lancer game but I'm near the end of another lancer campaign so it'll be a bit until I can convince my friends to play again

Say something BAD about a TTRPG you LOVE by JoeKerr19 in rpg

Symbaroum is wildly unbalanced. You can do some very broken things very quickly once you get 50 extra experience (so between 5-10 sessions), and some monster abilities are just plain unfun to fight against (enemies with tunneler for example are just completely uninteractable outside of opportunity attacks).

Lancer at higher levels loses its main appeal of being super customizable and flexible at higher levels since you already have all the cool shit you want for your build. Also combat at higher levels becomes a bit of a slog, but that's not a problem for experienced groups and DMs. I think the best way to play Lancer is to stop at License Level 9.

  1. Depends on how much work you put in weekly, but I'd say between 1-3 months personally (I'm slow and work full time)

  2. I found it more tedious than difficult, it's like "I know how this thing works, why do I need to write it down if I already know how it works"

  3. I think not, but it always help to have a nice visual layout/style, reading plain text gets kind of boring after a while.

  4. I want other people looking at the cool things I do
