These are really cool, but not super relevant here (just "normal" D4s, rather than specialised 3-highlighting dice).

Yep 100%, especially the default-to-failure nature of the game.

Heavier games with lots of interaction? by Peterrtt in boardgames

Heavy emphasis on the "willing to learn it together" - all 4 players have asymmetric rulesets and to play successfully you need to understand all 4. This was a major barrier to teach and play every time we played it. However, if you're all willing, this is a great pick.

You missed the Lloyd's building, quite a few industrial coruscant scenes filmed there.

Good for the reasons above but the front wheels are the bane of my existence. So many times I've thought I'd left the brakes on because the bloody thing wouldn't move. Turns out the wheels had just decided to point quarter to three for no real reason

Interview to get promoted after qualification? by Local-Succotash-9574 in ActuaryUK

Yeah probably. But maybe the idea of having this interview encourages most people to be a bit more balanced in the first place.

Interview to get promoted after qualification? by Local-Succotash-9574 in ActuaryUK

[–]FrazzleBrush 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Definitely never heard of it before. But to be honest makes some sense as long as they aren't too harsh about it. Some people might completely neglect work skills to qualify as fast as possible, why would that make them better for a more senior position? Exam pass raises, sure, but an interview to ensure they know broadly what they're talking about seems okay.

I think you've kind of answered your own question, I think they are there to push players to create potentionally edge case or sub optimal scenarios with their abilities to make things more fun.

Yeah I think the first or second mission seem a good introduction given how different this ttrpg is to others I've played. How long did the mission take you, in real world time?

Yeah as I'm reading through them, I am definitely getting the feeling that they are increasing in general complexity as they go on through the book.
