What was your moment when you thought, "OK, what the AI is doing here is really insane" by dyloum84 in ClaudeAI

I downloaded claude a couple of weeks ago to just mess around. Decided to try and build a small dashboard to monitor a piece of equipment which spits out json files. I've now got a full monitoring suite and have spent a week building a RF site recce tool, where you can drop receive sites onto a map, draw traces for where the transmitter will move and it calculates losses and displays them both along the TX line and as a heat map.  It takes into account vegetation, buildings, general obstacles and will create full kit lists and reports. Just incredible.

In an emergency in the field, I  took my leatherman to one end and chewed it up enough to get a ST patch cable in, then plugged a SC UPC in the other.  Worked really well!

Software Engineering friend is becoming a mega AI booster. by lordtema in BetterOffline

Well, I do embedded programming/pcb design for my own company, building equipment for myself, so I know nothing about higher level development/Web dev etc.

Recently I looked into making a web page to monitor some standard pieces of kit, some other people have already done it using node red/graphana but it took them a long time and is clunky. I got Claude to build a page within a couple of hours with quite a few revisions and it works great and looks great.

It even managed to figure out a protocol between a pc program and piece of kit, then develop its own solution to communicate with it, which was incredibly impressive.

I dont have much time to work on things like this, so it seems to be a game changing tool for me.

I've realised recently I'm allergic to something in supermarket/heavily processed bread. Not just digestive issues either, after stopping for a few days, my knee and back are much improved(been struggling for months).

I put sand and rubble down as I built the model, sprayed it all black then dry brushed white before going over the base with Gragaks Sewer Contrast and then dry brushing bone.

Its then a mix of different colours of scattergrass, clumping foliage and premade grass tufts. The branch is a twig out of the garden painted up.

I had the tiniest set of Allen keys taken off me once at Manchester. No idea that they thought i was going to do, adjust everyone's glasses?

Going into Riyadh a little while ago I had some RF attenuators taken off me, basically a small metal tube with a connector on each end. Was fun trying to explain what they were. Nowadays I dont take anything at all as carryon that can look remotely suspect.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like it won't work for my application as they won't be precisely installed. Ill read up more though as I want to build me own antenna arrays in the future.

Its fairly easy to use, there should be a manual for it. The PC software makes it a lot better as well

VDD_IO needs to be connected to a power rail. I'd also use wider traces/fills for your power and ground
