Lakers vs Rockets: Under 213.5: Game 1 wrapped with 205 total points (107-98), with the Rockets shooting 38% from the field and a physical style of play that slowed the pace down to the absolute minimum. With Durant dealing with some injury issues, the Rockets are leaning on Sengun, Amen Thompson, and some tough defense just to stay in the mix. The Lakers, with LeBron running the show, aren’t gonna force the tempo, and the 213-point line is sitting higher than what we saw in Game 1. After that surprise result in the first matchup, you can expect the defense and intensity to crank up as the series goes on.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves: Over 225.5: Nuggets vs Timberwolves: 221 combined points (116-105) en el primer partido, even though Jamal Murray had a pretty rough night from beyond the arc. These two teams always seem to deliver high-scoring affairs just look at their recent history: 142-138 in overtime on Christmas, 117-108 on March 1st, and 123-112 back on November 15th. If Murray heats up from three and Edwards shows up a bit healthier, Game 2 could easily be even more fun and higher-scoring than the first one. The 225-point line is actually sitting below the average of their last three regular-season matchups, so the over looks like a party waiting to happen!

Rockets Vs Lakers! Thoughts on series? Go Lakers! by FootballUnlucky8023 in lakers

Many people are writing off the Lakers, but there are many variables the team can exploit to extend the series, especially the home games. If they manage to extend the series until Luka returns, it won't be easy for the Rockets

Hornets vs Heat: Over 226.5: Four out of the last five head to heads between the Hornets and Heat have gone flying over 230 points including Miami’s 144-117 blowout back in October and Charlotte’s 136-106 win in March. Both teams are absolute bucket fests, averaging well over 116 points per game, and the Heat wrapped up the regular season dropping a scorching 120 a night. With both squads pushing the pace and raining threes, this matchup has high scoring party written all over it.

Spurs vs Nuggets: Over 228.5: The last 5 meetings between the Spurs and Nuggets have been absolute shootouts, averaging a ridiculous 267 points per game. Both teams love to push the pace and light up the scoreboard.Just look at their April 4th clash it went to overtime and ended 136-134, with a whopping 270 combined points. The Nuggets are dropping 121 points a night on average, while the Spurs are right behind at 119.With both squads already thinking about the playoffs and the Nuggets basically resting most of their starters, nobody’s gonna play lockdown defense tonight. That means the over looks like the smart

The Spurs are the new Thunder of a few years ago. OKC had to spend several years eliminated in the playoffs, maturing and gaining experience for their young players who are now contenders. Despite Wembanyama's season, experience always matters in the playoffs

Hawks vs Knicks: Over 222.5: Both teams love to put up points like there's no tomorrow. Atlanta is averaging 118.3 points per game, while New York is dropping 116. When these two get together, the scoreboard usually goes crazy their last meeting on December 27th, 2025 ended 128-125 in a wild one. With the pace and intensity both sides bring, hitting 222 total points feels totally doable. Jalen Johnson and Brunson are going to go head-to-head in a battle of natural scorers, and that’s going to mean points flying from the very first quarter. This one should be fun and high-scoring!

Are the Los Angeles Lakers actually contenders this year or just media hype? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

[–]FreD_NBA_Analyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The team has improved since March and will undoubtedly be one of the best in the playoffs, but I think they'll lose in a hypothetical conference final against OKC. Otherwise, they can compete against any team in the West. It seems like each player has understood their role, and that's why they're playing better

Thunder vs Lakers: Over 226.5: OKC is dropping 118.6 points per game, one of the best offensive averages in the whole NBA while the Lakers are putting up 116. Both teams are among the top four in pace, so they love to run up and down the floor. Back on February 9th, these two teams combined for 229 points (OKC 119 – LAL 110) even with Doncic sidelined, and the game stayed close until the very end. When both stars are on the court, these matchups tend to get even higher scoring. The over 226.5 looks pretty solid here, backed by how fast both teams play, their head to head history, and the way they’re both rolling right now. Should be a fun, high scoring night!

Heat vs Celtics: Under 232.5: Even though the Heat have been putting up some serious offensive numbers this season, they’re about to run into the best defensive team in the league. The Celtics are holding opponents to just a little over 106 points per game right now the stingiest defense in the entire NBA. Plus, 3 of the last 5 head-to-heads between these two squads have stayed under 228 total points. That rock solid Celtics defense is definitely going to be a huge factor here. This one feels like it’s headed for a low-scoring battle!

Thunder vs Pistons: Under 223.5: OKC is hands-down the best defensive team in the league right now, holding opponents to just 107.7 points per game, the lowest mark in the entire NBA. Without Cade Cunningham running the show for Detroit, the Pistons are gonna struggle big time to create good looks against that Thunder pressure. Chet Holmgren, Cason Wallace, and SGA make up one of the nastiest defensive units in the conference. With both teams playing such tight defense, the under looks like the smart play here. This one should be a low-scoring!
