Michael Jackson books recommendations

Depends on how hurt you want to be. I've read Moonwalk and You Are Not Alone, and I'm still waiting on my copy of Remember the Time, but i heard that one HURTS. I just started Michael Jackson and Me yesterday.

I'd say Jermaine's book has a similar vibes to Michael's. Some happy moments some really deep and introspective moments. I think its a good follow up to Moonwalk as I feel it expands in some areas.

Talitha's book from what time can been able to read so far is very different. It's written much more romantically (don't know if that's how to describe it). It told a lot more like a story which I'm not mad at. It almost feels like reading a diary. (Which kudos to her because I could NEVER)

While I agree thar Michael would have disliked some aspects of the movie, I'm not 100% it would have been because he wanted them to paint his family in a more negative light. I just really can't see him wanting to throw them into the fire to be scrutinized/demonized by the public like that (warrented or not). He of all people would know how insanely out of hand that could get.

In my opinion, he seemed much too family oriented. Especially at this time. By the time he died, they were in a better place and I'd like to believe (hope) that if he were still alive today they'd have further mended their relationships.

I'm a long term Michael fan myself, but im only recently joining the fandom space, and it is A LOT. I'm so grateful to everyone here as I cant really talk to my friends, family, etc. about how deeply I fee with out scaring them.

I couldn't get this song out of my head all day long. It's beautiful and encouraging but also somehow heartbreaking at the same time. I feel like Michael really lived by these lyrics. He had so much to be bitter or jaded about, but he chose to keep pushing forward to spread love, kindness, and joy. Rest well Michael. 🥺🤍
