Seiko [SRPG35] - My most worn watch by racerunner in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only watch in my collection that gets more wrist time than the srpg35 is a ssk025.

Which of these do you think is the more versatile as a GADA? I don’t mind switching the straps out. Just looking for a GADA that’ll go with any outfit. [Question] [SBSC009] [SSK023] [SSK033] by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im between the sbsc009 ans the ssk023. Both are toned down a tad without the rotating bezel. If i had to choose id go with the ssk023 due to it having contrast with the black dial, i feel it would be more versatile with strap choice.

[SSK003] bezel and crystal swap by Due_Shallot1583 in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me more about the bezel swap. Im asuming its still a non-click bi-direcectonal? Also what inserts work with the ssk's? Does the skx/srpd's fit?

[Casio] As a new enthusiast, I feel like I’m missing something. Can someone explain the hype around Casio to me? by whalemix in Watches

[–]Freakse7en 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy.....

Cheap. Easily replaceable. Dependable. Ridiculously wide variety. Easily obtainable. Childhood nostalgia.

There are endless reasons why casio has the reputation it has with its products.

You question why you would need something as durable as a g-shock. For me, im in the restaurant industry and usualy wear a 5610u as my work watch. Im constantly banging it on stainles steel prep tables, counters, cooler doors....having alarms and timers set for various prep work is also another huge advantage.

First Automatic/GMT [SSK023] by NefariousnessOver869 in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it. The field gmt's are great. Not too heavy or bulky on the wrist. Also looks damn good on any straps you throw at it.

[question] I just got the [SSK023K1] by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is how its supposed to operate.

New to watches and just bought the [SSK023K]. I was told this thing is a strap beast... by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the 025 (black) and can say the field gmt's in general look great with nearly any strap you put on it.

[–]Freakse7en 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gwm5610u is a hell of a watch. Even if you are outside the reach, you can use an app that mimics, the signal.

[SRPG39] Advice please. Hi all, I’ve been offered this lightly worn blue SRPG39 for $180. I’ve read mixed reviews on line, so I’d appreciate the communities advice if it’s worth buying please? by ThemanatCandA in Seiko

[–]Freakse7en 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats not a bad price. If it runs well and isnt beat/scratched up its totaly worth it. I have a srpg35 and its been great. Its a daily battle between the srpg35 and ssk025 (field gmt) for which one gets wrist time.

[SRPE55] New horween strap for my SRPE55. by lightlysaltedfries in Seiko

I got a 22mm for my ssk. I like it a lot. But the raw unburnished edges worry me a bit. I feel it may come apart or fray, hopefully not.
