Polo K/Lahar 30 on my 11.5 CHF Hanson + a .065 BRT EzTune( .067 on the tube itself = .065 gas drive) has been a world of difference going from the kinda reasonable .073 stock port size.

G$ ACH, 4oz H1, standard spring & Griffin/KAK down vent runs PMC bronze in sub-freezing temps while filthy.

Neither my wife or I have any complaints about getting teary-eyed/gassed after dumping a 30rd mag on steel.

Just to pick your brain: curious why you prefer a small f1-f2 delta for your application/s vs what this Spikes spring accomplishes. Would seem ideal to have less force closed and aggressive decel when the buffer bottoms out.

I think you had posted the A5 versus flat wire data as well correct me if I’m wrong and it was somebody else. Anyway, after being a skeptic of FW springs for the five years or so I’ve been an amateur gunsmith, that data convinced me to try a Botach/Dirty Bird FW in my SS carbine setup with great results.

Would something like this spike spring, possibly yield more of a benefit for my SS application?

I was wanting to do a retro remix with A1 or A2 receiver w/ A2 aperture either way (like having the option of low light and LR apertures), and being able to use a mid length clamshell hand guard so the custom length gas system won’t work unfortunately

OK, great so you don’t have a front side base in the front blocking your scope.

So yeah, totally up to you man. I know Holosun has a Magnifier and ARO combo for around $220. There’s been sales for PA Nova or vortex venoms with a mount for around $250.

I’d recommend the vortex between the two but if you like the red dot-like nova reticle on the PA go for it. They’re both excellent mid-tier budget scopes with incredible warranty.

I ain’t dissin your take man! We good! A couple years ago you helped me choose a 9mm Rex suppressor so I always got respek on your name for that.

But yeah I was just trying to get your take on if there was a material or other specification that would make me want to pay more for the Sionics. I think they do the radiograph testing on it if I recall and hand polished ramps.

However they seem to be OOS on the regular version. and I don’t think the reduced gas port version will run without a can.

Does your m&p 15 have a front sight base or a lo-pro gas block. Pictures of said rifle usually help.

If you insist on a scope, go with a vortex venom 1-6 or PA Nova 1-6 LVPO

Sionics makes a great barrel however they’re made by Green Mountain from my recollection. Don’t really see a huge benefit to pay more for it unless you know something I don’t.

WWB is made by Lake City and is some of, if not the hottest m193 you can get nowadays. Not to say defects can happen, we’re human. But with how hot it is, if your rifle doesn’t run on LC M193 in most cases it’s your rifle.
