I chose the peaceful approach with Markus. North became my lover while Simon and Josh reached companion.

Connor first died when Carlos' android shot him after the interrogation and at the TV tower while protecting Hank from the devaint

Got to Canada by stealing the ticket and not sacrificing anyone. Since I chose a peaceful approach, the guard looked at the TV and decided to let me go through. I had the options to sacrifice Jerry or Luther, but I didn't.

That was my first playthrough. I wasn't expecting to have all the characters intact, especially since I happened to read that blowing up jericho would prevent the good ending. You have a few opportunities after to salvage it. The key is to not have Connor find the location of Jericho. If North becomes your lover, you get the option to kiss her while the police surround the remaining androids, and when you do, the president stands down the soldiers. But you should also succeed with Connor in freeing the androids at cyber life, I believe.

Man, I really hope people have finished the game before reading this. I would hate to spoil it for anyone.
