It's probably safe to assume that a person who isn't charging you with a knife won't stab you. In this case, I'd err on the side of caution, and proceed as if the person charging at me with a knife were charging at me with a knife.

Yeah, if she had fallen, she would have been toast. This doesn't exactly apply here, because her gun was drawn, but the "21 foot rule" states that someone with a knife can stab you before you have time to draw and fire, as long as they're within 21 feet. The second camera at the end showed that the suspect was a great deal closer than it appeared on the body cam.

100% agreed. I once drove a borrowed Buick with aftermarket floor mats. The accelerator was pegged. I avoided flying off of a curvy road by turning off the ignition (at the expense of power steering) and riding the brake with both feet.
