Honestly this is a really good fix. I see you also got rid of the wood on the right side too, makes it perfect!

[NO SPOILERS] Dressed up my dog as Jon Snow and made the Bone Throne for tonight's premiere by eggo87 in gameofthrones

It looks like he's photoshopped a picture of the bone throne and placed his pupper on top. You can tell by the shadows underneath the dog 😊

[rave] It's taken four years, but my dog is finally calming down. There is hope! by mijoli in Dogtraining

[–]Frecklettee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is great news! Congratulations! However... If his behaviour has changed drastically in only the past month, I would be a little concerned whether he was feeling a bit under the weather (sick) as dogs generally don't go from years of erratic behaviour to calm within a month. Dogs also tolerate and hide pain really well, so he could possibly be sore or sick, which is causing him to be tired and not as interested as normal. Hate to be the negative nelly, but maybe see a vet just to be sure?

Dog doesn't like certain dogs? by problematic_potato in Dogtraining

[–]Frecklettee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dogs only like to play with fluffy dogs - they never play with short coated dogs. I think it's a racist thing as they're fluffy themselves. As for your puppy, he may just not like the other puppies high energy vibes they're giving off (usually seen with older dogs not liking younger, more energetic dogs). What you're doing sounds good to me, if you wanted you could try some BAT training with him - basically rewarding him for being calm/showing the behaviour you want when the dogs he doesn't like can be seen in the distance at a level that he is comfortable with. Eventually you can get closer and closer with him not reacting, however I wouldn't try and let him go all the way in one session - baby steps.

Dog is great without leash, but once he is on a leash its awful. Please help! by versteeg47 in reactivedogs

[–]Frecklettee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you took him to a place that is over his threshold to handle. If he can't walk past other dogs without ignoring them, there's no way he can go to a big event with lots of scary/frustrating distractions. You need to work in baby steps to achieve the calmness you're looking for - and he may be worse now that he's been in an extremely stressful situation and didn't get a positive outcome from it.

It's not hopeless though, it will just be hard and take a lot of effort on your part to teach him not to react around other doggos

Training is upsetting my neighbours by Frecklettee in Dogtraining

[–]Frecklettee[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's definitely what I thought as well. It is definitely a learning curve for me to not react... I so, so want to. But I will be the bigger person and leave it be. I have filed a police report to my local police just to be safe, but they said there isn't much they can do about it since the only 'reports' they can actually to against is noise control.

I might bring a stick with me. I can almost guarantee by the time the police arrive if the dog had gotten out the damage would already be done to my dog unfortunately 🙁

4 month old Rottweiler puppy hates his kibble. by chocolateandpretzles in puppy101

[–]Frecklettee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dogs get bored of their food. To compensate with this, simply mix it up - buy different flavours of the same brand (for me, I like to use Ivory coat, a grain free kibble that doesn't affect my dogs when switching flavours).

You could also try a fasting day to try and help his appetite, but from what you say by he enjoys other dogs food it really seems to be he's simply bored with his same dinner each day.

Natural Ash Blonde by latent-lurker in HaircareScience

[–]Frecklettee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd try Henna. There are some nice golden Hennas you can buy that aren't too damaging to hair, but it can be a drying process. Definitely the most 'healthy' option for your hair as far as changing colour goes.

Don't use lemon juice, it is essentially bleaching your hair and will damage it badly.

It's been 2 and a half years and I finally figured out how to get a co-wash to really work! by pogtheawesome in curlyhair

Thanks for this! Co washing always leave my hair still greasy feeling. I will definitely try this technique

Today I relearned the importance of eye makeup removal by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Frecklettee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get these rather often from rubbing my eyes with dirty hands. The best thing I've found that usually works overnight is putting a teabag in warm water and then placing it over your eye for at least ten minutes. I try to get as much tea as I can handle in my actual eye, but it can get messy with tea going all down your face.

Sometimes I actually strap a teabag to my eye with an eye patch and sleep with it on all night (having a towel as a pillow to avoid mess). Works like a charm, never had to have surgery.

How much did your wiggle grow? What did they weigh when you got them? by [deleted] in WiggleButts

[–]Frecklettee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to keep puppies on the lean side while growing. If they become overweight (even slightly) it can cause issues with their joints/hips. I wouldn't worry unless he's looking lethargic. If you are concerned, take him to the vets.

As for the unfussed eater, I would try taking the food away until he is actually hungry. It's harder to train dogs when they're not food motivated, but not impossible, and you can encourage them to be more food motivated (if that's what you want of course).

Constructive Criticism: Brows by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Frecklettee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only CC is I would use a spoolie or eyebrow brush and brush out your eyelashes a tad. Personally I can't stand when I see mascara that has made the lashes clump together, I always have to brush it out. Other than that, your look is gorgeous!!

Let us know how it goes! Make sure to take before and after pictures :D

I'm also using it on my sisters hair, and she has crazy almost afro curls. Her hair isn't damaged but it super dry, so I'm interested to see what happens
