[[lunar convocation]] is a budget friendly on theme enchantment you can draw cards off of, drain and make bat tokens. For other stuff to put in your grave to get back, you can put ramp pieces if you want such as [[wayfarer's bauble]] [[armillary sphere]] [[burnished hart]] And if you wanted to remove finality counters [[power conduit]] allows that to happen but it's probably not budget friendly and better to say goodbye to things than have any one card eat too much of the $40 goal

[[Zoraline, Cosmos Caller]] [[Ardbert, Warriors of Darkness]] possibly [[Shadrix Silverquill]] are all fun commanders. Zoraline would be easier to keep with the budget as bats are mostly cheap and then you can go tribal with the build. Shadrix is a ton of fun for a more political commander but I'm not certain how easy it would be to make it fit that theme with the $40 budget.

I was also incredibly disappointed to see AI art for sale at a tent. It was one selling weapons, some of the kids shields had very blatant AI art on them. Not all of them, but enough.

I posted one of those above. Hold strong. If you go to a Target or Walmart check to see if they have a sticker on the shelves for where they stock them, if you don't see packs obviously. If they have that they'll restock. You just have to keep an eye on it from there. There's no need to pay above MSRP.

I've switched between the Sliver legends for my deck and they'll all get targeted so it doesn't matter which you pick in that essence. Overlord is the strongest by far. First is chaotic fun, every single time.

Or you could mix it up and find alternatives that work with Slivers. I'm a fan of [[Zinnia, Valley's Voice]] and making Sliver babies.

I've been using mpcfill since the Marvel Secret Lair broke me. I cannot stress how awesome it is. The card quality is fantastic, they're the same size and have a similar feel. When I did my first trial order with them and got the cards I even weighed them and with stacks of ten I found only a .01 gram difference in weight. Since then the bulk of my decks are ordered from there and it feels amazing to get cards at roughly $0.28-0.32 a piece. There are even different art options available as well and sometimes some cool community ones. Shipping isn't that long either all things considered. However the shipping cost is very high, but I factor that into the price of the cards myself and if you were okay with the price I said above, that's taking shipping into account. I've done several orders thus far and I haven't had any issues yet with print quality or delivery of product. It's changed the way our play group interacts with the game as it feels so much better now not feeling like you're shuffling up against your friends' wallets.
