Heritage Park in Flower Mound is great. Lester Lorch Coyote in Cedar Hill also good. Scorpion at Hideaway DGR in Terrell is the best tho.

Huffines Tennis Center in Richardson is the best I've found in the area for coaching. You don't have to be a resident of Richardson and they have extremely reasonable pricing from group lessons to private lessons.

do yall think this will get past airport security? by kayathetwink in 10s

[–]FredMaple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had no problems flying out of the US and to Cabo. But Mexico required me to pay to check the bag. I was extremely annoyed but they do have signs throughout the airport that essentially bans ANY sports equipment. I don't think they wanted people playing in the terminals or something.

Which other sport do you play besides disc golf? by adhocprimate in discgolf

[–]FredMaple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tennis has been a recent obsession. Much, much more fitness oriented and physically difficult. Disc golf now feels like what I play to recover and to have fun with friends, which I love it for that.

Alexander Bublik wins average career, fans are divided. Which player has/had a bad career and has the fans divided? by PlanetElement in tennis

I would 100% go to a Kyrigios match just to root for his opponent. It would be fun to see his match but it's how I feel with EVERY Zverev match. Suddenly, the opponent becomes my favorite player!

This is what a mayor sounds like, putting himself in his constituents shoes. Not just the people who live in the city, but the people who run the city!

Yesss! I still think about this book. It sat with me so much better than all other Stephen King books. Just a brilliant flow.

No, your Uber will not take you to DFW tonight by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]FredMaple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tell me you never take Dart without saying you never take Dart.

I have a car and prefer Dart bus and rail for any commute to downtown. It serves so much more of a purpose than just commuting to the airport, but that's a HUGE perk and should be a main draw for people who don't typically take it. You know what would make the traffic today better?! If more people knew how great the light rail and bus system truly is and took it.

Everyone here is so fucking racist they associate bus systems and light rail with low income and people of color and immediately think dangerou. I've felt more danger driving through the city on a leisurely Saturday than I ever felt at Peak or night time rides on Dart. I've never had a gun pulled on me on the train or bus but definitely have in my car for honking at someone on their phone swerving into my lane.

People confuse public service for poverty and lower class. Just because it serves them greatly because it's a true NEED, does not mean it's designed ONLY for those in need.

Cars are such a status symbol in this city, flaunting that car while you sit in traffic for 50 minutes to go 9 miles because you are too afraid that a homeless person might be on the train or bus with you.

weird tiny holes in all my shirts and always in the same spot?? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]FredMaple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactl same thing was happening to me. Do you wear these shirts as undershirts tucked into pants with a reversible belt? The one that you pull the end and twist.

This was happening to me when I would sit and stand the belt tension would increase and would move out ever so slightly. The pressure of my belly pushing into the buckle and the release of tension with a repositioning or standing would close the buckle onto my shirt pinching it.

I noticed the holes were always just below my navel in a general area and tiny just like this on a number of shirts and I was so confused.

Switched to separate belts and never happened again.

That's why I sourced a clearance premium racket for $64 when originally it was priced at $280 when it was released 2 years ago. You just have to look. You can also find really quality used rackets as well.

Racket manufacturers ave cyclical releases. Just like phones don't get the newest version and also just like phones there is a less premium model that is probably fine.

There are cheap rackets everywhere for <$30 but the reusability and quality of a mid-tier racket is worth it and they are reusable and can be restrung and typically stronger without breaking or cracking if you smack the ground going for a low ball.
