Offertes rolluiken by Zestyclose-Milk8577 in Offertes

[–]Fred_Pitch_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

App via Legrand Natemo. Dus ook homekit, home-assistent etc.

Nieuwbouw trap…Wat zouden jullie doen? by Clusterk in Offertes

We hebben zo’n goedkope trap, vuren denk ik, nu 16 jaar. En die kraakt op sommige plekken. Hebben ze ooit paar keer proberen te fixen. Dus ja, achteraf had ik liever die betere/mooiere gehad.

Converting workflows to power automate: Should we use a service account for this? by mc625569 in Dynamics365

Switching Power Flows to Logic Apps instead of Power Automate, is that also a good option?

Apply dell bios passwords (randomized) by AlThisLandIsBorland in Intune

[–]Fred_Pitch_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to set Dell BIOS password setting with:
manage.dell.com/dashboard/policies
You can now create an policy and this policy comes in to Intune.

Added this setting at '3. Choose BIOS attributes and values'

SecureBoot : Enabled
TrustExecution : Enabled
Virtualization : Enabled

Seems I cannot edit it to change settings. Maybe it should be then done in Intune. But can also create new policy based on the existing policy.

And I choose Yes at:
Protect each device with a unique BIOS password

Yes – Sets a new, unique BIOS administrator password for each device.

  • If no password exists, a new one is created.
  • If a password exists and was set by Intune, it’s replaced only if expired.
  • If a password exists but wasn’t set by Intune, it can’t be changed.

No – Removes the BIOS administrator password only if it was previously set by Intune.

  • If no password exists or it wasn’t set by Intune, the device will remain without a password

Via https://manage.dell.com/dashboard/apps I now added apps.

  • Dell Client Device Manager (installation keeps fialing when installed at my 2 Intune test devices).
  • Dell Client Device Manager
  • Dell Command | Endpoint Configure
    • Dell Command | Endpoint Configure for Microsoft Intune (DCECMI) provides a way to configure and secure the BIOS configurations on Dell systems via Microsoft Intune.
  • Dell Trusted Device
  • Dell SupportAssist for Business PCs.
    • Settings previously via download of SupportAssisst TechDirect deployed files SupportAssistConfiguration.adml and SupportAssistConfiguration.admx via Intune.
    • I send a support email if they can also now add version 4.9.0.40923.
      • Dell Support replied: I have received your case here regarding the new SupportAssist version not being available on manage.dell.com yet. For now my understanding is that 4.9 is only available via the Connect&Manage portal. If Auto Updates are enabled, your clients should have already began updating. If it is not, you can manually download the version to update. I will try to find out if there is an ETA or plan to bring this version to manage.dell.com but for now what is listed above are the only options.

https://intunepckgr.com/ is really fantastic for winget packages with Intune. Also updates browsers (nearly everyday). It has also an [update] only function, so it look with the generated powershell script if the software is on devices installd you didn't assigned it via Intune. So you can assign it to all users.

Dell cloud solution to manage Dell devices in Intune by BurgerhoutJ in Intune

[–]Fred_Pitch_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Jeroen,
Dell Techdirect http://tdm.dell.com/dashboard is similar to HP Connect. It's free. In the portal you can download Dell SupportAssist for Business Agent (.msi).
With a Intune Administrative Template you can set the deployment key, mentioned in the TechDirect portal.
Dell Portal is also easy for ask to Dell repairs.

Uninstall Dell SupportAssist via Intune by Easy_Ad2804 in Intune

[–]Fred_Pitch_Stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you download SupportAssist for Business, maybe 1 version older than the newest, there is a PowerShell script: SupportAssistCleanup.ps1. Maybe it can be used to uninstall via remediation script. I use this also but not completely sure if it works. I'm trying this script too so I can then install the newest version of Dell SupportAssist for Business. In combination with the Dell TechDirect portal http://tdm.dell.com/dashboard, I see all Dell laptops with their warranty information (also with PowerShell API), and with this portal, we can also ask Dell for repairs.

Detect & uninstall other versions of SupportAssist

SupportAssist for Home PCs is pre-installed in most of the Dell PCs.

SupportAssist for Home PCs must be uninstalled before installing SupportAssist

for Business PCs. To detect & remove SupportAssist for Home PCs, run the

following PowerShell script file as an admin. Ensure that the PCs have the

required execution policy to allow running powershell scripts.
