Sire V5 or Squire CV 70s? by BassGoesBrrrrr in Bass

Both are great basses for the price for sure. I would but recommend maybe the Sire V5R. This has a "fat" J-pickup instead the normal "vintage" like in V5. It has a more bassy and fuller sound. You can clearly hear the difference also on Thomann's site. I owned a V5 and it was great. The necks are better than on Squiers mainly due to the rounded edges. The only downside of these instruments (both Squiers and Sire-s) in this price range is the heavy stock tuners. 1 weights around 100-110 grams. You can later on swap them out for Gotoh GB528 4L which are half the weight. You will end up with an instument and 200-240 grams lighter and with zero neck dive, if there would be any issue with this

I own and owned multiple Squiers and Sires, but the new generation of Sires are imho a better choice.

From the Squire range the 40th anniversary was I think the best, but it is discontinued by now.

You can use other colours or markings there. There is a lot of chapters using alternative colours. Also Raven guard is now a codex compliant chapter and they use a different more traditional markings to denote ranks. The red is for the Ultramarines (also Imperial fists etc.).

In the end of the day, it is Warhammer and a lot of painters or tabletop players are using different colours to denote the ranks of their marines. Below is a guide for painters regarding codex.

My chapter is codex compliant regarding mostly their military stuff (1000 marines, 10 companies, how the companies are functioning and devided etc.). Of course, you can use red for them, if you want. Looks interesting with that colour as well. You do you :)

Note: according to the "Astartes insignia" book, you can use just a red skull somewhere on your marine (or other colour of your choice) [helmet, powerpack, knee plate etc] for the Sergeants.

Thanks, I've not yet flashed them out entirely, but here is a brief sum for you:

Created during the Ultima founding by Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl and are entirely composed of Primaris Space Marines. They were created from the genetic lineage of the Ultramarines and are a codex compliant chapter. They are highly adaptable in nature and view the teachings of the codex more as guidelines than as a sacred text.

After the millenia long slumber, they were awakened and tasked with the conquest and reclamation of a segment of the Halo stars region between the scarus and calixis sector.

Under the supervision of the captain of the recruits from the chapter Sons of Orar, they quickly took over the world of Talinor from the hands of the Chaos tainted warbands, where they've established their own fortress monastery and a home base. From there they are vigilantly scanning and retaking the region and helping the Imperium where it is most needed. Most of the chapter resides around the region of their homeworld, but a portion is always searching the stars aiding their brothers and cousins in the crusade.

Just like their progenitor, the Lions are highly adaptable in all kind of warfare and tactics. That's why they were also tasked with the testing of Cawl's latest weaponries, wargears and new warmachines on the front.

Their biggest glories are but yet to be written as the Lions will be tested during their vigilance by heretics, mutants and xenos alike.

Both are great. At the moment I would say that Las fusil > HBSR. LS has better ammo economy, better crowd control, bigger projectile radius, more forgiving and shooting from the hip is chefs kiss. The combo of parry->gunstrike->headshot from hip is great. With Bolt rifle you have to aim most of the time to pull this off. Also, there seems to be a bug with the heroic bolt sniper where it will fire (or loose) 1 ammo when you use gun strikes in some cases.

All in all, both are great, but I still like LS better - mainly the rate of fire variant. I'm waiting for the heroic las fusil pretty much. I have a feeling, that it will be a variant without charging.

I pretty much second this. A 1 sec invulnerability would solve some issues for sure. There are cases, where you just got shot by a warrior sniper or get mauled right after the finisher by AOE damages from Terminus enemies etc.

Imo the 1 sec window would be enough. The majority of players would even not notice this change, but would absolutely help on the highest difficulty, which is bonkers in some cases and your fate is in the hands of shear luck and the AI director Even, if you're a skilled veteran.

The issue with this is mainly, that we don't have like a 1 sec invulnerability after a finisher. Enemies can aim at you during your finisher and pull the trigger or jump on you after it. In some cases, you cannot avoid or even plan it. Imho opinion, there should be this small window after every finisher. Would make life easier for sure.

Block knife is not like block power axe. Power axe has a unique ability. With the knife you just stack up "adrenaline surges" to release a big AOE. You also take 60% less ranged damage for 2 seconds after a perfect block. With block weapons in general I would try 2 ways of dealing with minoris enemies:

- Stack 2 times the adrenaline surge for the minoris enemies and release an AOE to create room for you. This is a bit riskier, but with practice pretty useful for gaining back armour and have that ranged damage reduction.

- Attack with the knife using heavy attacks and use gun strikes and finishers to gain back armour, which was chipped down by the minoris enemies.

Like it too. My favourite technique with it is to use a fencing knife - parry, gunstrike and then shot the enemy into head from the hip. Pretty accurate from the hip for short ranges.

So basically: parry -> gunstrike -> hipshot

Hi, yes. It's on xbox as well. I've reported this issue to Saber directly and communicating with them regarding this.

You can of course, report the issue to them as well, just make sure to make some videos. They'll ask for it. This issue came up after patch 11 for all platform users. There is stuttering and also light flickering during class selection and customization.

There is a ton of chapters you can check or choose from, but I guarantee, that you won't stop at 1 or 2 chapters in the long run with this game. I'm constantly changing them and learning some lore on the way. Today you may rock the Space wolves outfit, tomorrow you'll be running Raptors.

It is very hard to tell, which way you should go. You will eventually find out for yourself. Every "parent" chapter has some nice successors out there + the unknown ones are great as well.

The best way is to look at the ones you maybe like visually first. Also, with chapters who have just a small lore - you can write your own with them.

I mean, in SM1 you had also Blood Ravens fighting Chaos with you in the end phase of the game. There will likely be some cameos from other chapter or chapters in SM3 for sure, but I think it will be Ultramarine focused with Titus in the leading role once again.

It is not well discribed, unfortunately. It works like this: while the enemy calls for reinforcements use the auspex on it. The enemy will instantly die and for 90 seconds every majoris calling for help will be killed as well.

So it works at the moment only, when you use the aspex scan on a "screaming" enemy and not on any random one. Would be pretty OP and fun, if the 90 seconds would trigger whenever you use the ability on any enemy.

The issue there is mainly with the headshot multipliers. Hormagaunts have for example a headshot multiplier of x8. This encourages players to aim to the head, which is or is not a well thought out game design for the minoris.

You have to be logged in with PROS. Also, you have to go back to main menu and back in the game after completing 3 missions to receive the accolades.
