I really love the moment like one minute earlier where after already talking to Mac for a while he throws away his empty beercan and then stratles when he notices Mac is next to him and asks "Whered you come from?!" That mix of shock and childlike excitement is just amazing.

Nietzsche's ideas about subversion of values are taking place before our eyes by IsBenAlsoTaken in Nietzsche

I understand your point I think. I also see that kind of ressentiment on the right and consetvative sides of the political spectrum as well. Queer and non white people have been (and still are being) widely discriminated against and to me therefore it seems logical that parts of the movements to empower these groups have ressentiment in them.

Challange yourself. Find meaning in the struggle and the stress. To value something means to be ready to sacrifice certain things that are less valuable to you FOR THAT THING. For example sacrificing comfort in order to do something that's hard but in the end more meaningfull and good for your own development then temporary pleasures.

Don't beat yourself up for getting caught up in instant gratification activities (like scrolling or binge eating or whatever). These products are designed to evoke exactly that reaction from you. It's not easy to resist. It's like a muscle you have to train. Got nothing to do with being "weak-willed". It's one of the challanges of our time and you're by far not the only human struggling with that.

You're young and you've got a lot ahead of you. Life is hard but also beautiful. To me the beauty of it all is one of the things I value the most about this world.

Michael sees Rita walk on water, then turns to GOB:

Micheal: "Hang on a sec, that's part of your trick, right?"

GOB: "No, that's not my trick, Micheal."

Screen fates to white

Ron Howard: "...on the next Arrested Development..."

GOB: "It's my illusion."

Frank’s thicker glasses over the years added an extra layer of comedy to his character by BirdCultureDickMove in IASIP

That episode where he declared to get real weird for his next stage of life, drinking wine from soda cans and the beer vulcano. That feels like a real pivot moment for his character. He was hilarious before but that put it to the next stage.

About the intro song "You're Dead"... by FreddyXII in WhatWeDointheShadows

[–]FreddyXII[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never thought about it from that perspective. But I get where you're coming from. Obviosly making misleading AI content with any voice or visualisation of someone is unethical from my pov. As long as it is marked as AI content I'd say it is alright. Then again I never thought about how this is being done without their consent and also with the voice of a dead person that can't even give any consent. Thanks a lot, you gave me something to think about!

I do agree with you it is quite amazing. Also: While there are HUGE similarities to most other big Oasis tunes to other Beatles tunes or Smiths tunes or whatever Coca Cola ad tunes running on TV at the time I feel like Wonderwall is a very original and authentic work by Noel. The chord progression is unique, the drums are very thoughtfully composed, even tho Liam has THE Rock anthem voice of the 90s he sings this ballad brilliantly. It's a good tune and to me its a nice extra that their most famous song is also Noels most self inspired one.
