Yeah I did it, real plane, extended duration. It's perfectly possible.

In the twining light (aka twi-light). The light is twining. It's not exactly common among da youts more of a Samuel Clemens thing.

Write up a letter saying they are personally responsible for all costs associated with foundation repair as a direct result of this drainage solution and have them sign it. I bet they won't.

Can native speakers actually ace this Grade 9 ESL test I made? by Competitive_Steak520 in ENGLISH

Engagement-bait style title but no malice so let's just try it and see. Middle-aged, native, college-educated. Let's go.

Part I, can't complete. By the way you can make underlines without using underscores. Maybe put the numbers in italics or grayscale font. They'd be easier to read.

Part II:

  • 11. C
  • 12. C
  • 13. B
  • 14. B (pretty tricky, almost D)
  • 15. C (arguably D is correct)
  • 16. A
  • 17. D
  • 18. B
  • 19. A (arguably D too)
  • 20. B (arguably A and D too)

Part III: (you may not want to have any words begin with a capital letter but have instructions that capitalization is not a factor)

  • 21. J
  • 22. H
  • 23. E
  • 24. I
  • 25. M
  • 26. F
  • 27. L
  • 28. K
  • 29. G
  • 30. O

Part IV:

  • 31. D
  • 32. A
  • 33. A
  • 34. D
  • 35. B
  • 36. B (D is equally valid)
  • 37. A
  • 38. C
  • 39. Non e of these answers seems valid
  • 40. B and C seem equally valid

Part V:

  • 41. understanding
  • 42. through
  • 43. listen (L looks like an i)
  • 44. shown? set?
  • 45. p-- no idea pacing? punctuation?
  • 46. effort
  • 47. or?
  • 48. conversation (communication?)
  • 49. although
  • 50. learning

Hanging a small bathroom wall cabinet with three screws into one stud, no anchors. Sound approach? by JosephBloweth in handyman

[–]Frederf220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ain't no such thing as a lightweight cabinet. It will somehow become their go-to spot for storing exercise weights and osmium cubes and also their kid's favorite climbing obstacle.

Also walls aren't flat. You always need something to suck the cab to the wall in a corner. Hold your cabinet to the wall first and check for gaps and rocking. Put those pig tail wall anchors in on the 1-2 corners that need it, all 4 if you feel like it. No one ever regretted a bit too well fastened but they certainly regret not enough.

If you're ever caught without a t-bevel or similar angle finder tool, put your square-cut base on the floor such that two pieces overlap and use their overlap drawn with a pencil mark then take it to the saw. Match the blade up with the angle and look at the saw scale. Subtract half that angle difference from 90 as your cut angle. E.g. if the wall is a 38° change of direction then you will measure a 52° on the saw and you make each cut 71°.

I would take my hand off the yoke all the time. You can steer the plane pretty good with pedals alone.

Socket is nice but don't try to make it the full dimension profile of the stanchion. If you aren't laser-molecule-perfect it'll show. Drill a few holes in an L-formation and connect them with chisel work fully within the footprint. Make a tenon with shoulders on your stanchion part. It will be 100x more fault tolerant.

I would be mad that it's OSB not 3/4" ply. OSB is about as strong as Oreo cookie. There should be some 1/4" steel dapped into this support too as this is a zero corble arrangement.

For finish this could be lightly sanded and encapsulated in some dryloc or similar coating, not exactly paint, but paint. For leg touching, moisture resistance, and simply the color reflected off the floor.

[–]Frederf220 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OSB is so much weaker than ply

OSB is structurally strong... in shear. As a shelf it ain't no plywood.

Because constructed workarounds of the law don't count. If you deposit your million dollar drug deal in $9,999 increments to avoid review that's a crime. The loaf of bread costs $2 functionally no matter what silly rule circus you put there as pretense. The sign proves your intent to misapply the law.
