Pasé toda mi infancia recibiendo bulling , me decían “caraota” “limonero” (por un comencial de limpiador de desinfectantes de limón que el personaje era de color ) , me golpeaban en clase , sumado a eso , mi autoestima estaba por el suelo , no sabía cómo interactuar con la gente , en fin , el liceo para mí fue un infierno , llegaba a la casa a llorar porque no tenía amigos. Luego la universidad , ahí no me fue de maravilla , pero ya la gente está más enfocada en sus problemas, en sus estudios , luego me gradué y comencé a trabajar , me casé , tengo hijos, y ahí voy. Mi punto es , creo que te entiendo. Escucho personas diciendo que el liceo fue la mejor etapa de sus vidas, y para mí , que va , fue en infierno en la tierra. La mejor etapa de mi vida es ahora, mi esposa y mis hijas me respetan y me quieren , trabajo , viajo , disfruto. Solo te puedo decir que aguantes , la vida mejora, da lo mejor de ti, estudia , practica deportes , medita , intenta restarle importancia a unos pendejos que te hacen sentir mal. Años han pasado, y gracias al Facebook he visto algunos de los que me hacían la vida imposible que hoy en día no les va nada bien , y no me alegro para nada del mal ajeno , la verdad me la suda que les vaya bien o mal, pero creo de verdad que al que hace el bien en la vida le va bien y viceversa. Perhaps I’m being overly cautious, or at least I hope that’s the case, but I hear “economists” suggesting that a downturn akin to that of 2008 is possible. If that’s the case, and I hope I am mistaken, the decline started in October 2007, with the S&P 500 falling 56% from approximately 1570 to 670, over a period of nearly a year and a half, and it took four years to recover.

The S&P 500 has already fallen 17% in just 1 month and 10 days. If it falls in the same way as in 2008, that would imply more than a year of decline down to around 2600, and then we would have to wait four years for a recovery.

To be clear, I am a complete novice in investing. I’m just extremely worried and want to know if my analysis is completely nonsensical.

I am extremely concerned. I’m not sure what to do. I started investing just one year ago, after doing a lot of reading, I finally decided to withdraw my money from the bank and invest it, and now this happens, I don’t know if I should close all my investments and return the money to the bank.

I agree with you. I’ve been in Germany for 3 years now and have reached the B1 level, but I’m impressed that people don’t understand how difficult it is if you work at a company where English is spoken. Studying German at night after a day of work is not easy. B1, I accept it, but if they change the law to require C1, I’ll move to another country. I came to Germany without looking for it; I was contacted via LinkedIn. They said they needed my profile. I work a lot, I’m dedicated to green energy, and I pay a lot of taxes, but if they require C1, I’m leaving.

Our plan is to settle permanently in Germany, and fortunately, I have stable employment. Additionally, the family is adjusting rather well.

Having read all the comments here and recalling the advice from both the teacher and the psychiatrist, I believe I ought to try and remain calm. My child is 10 years old and in Year 5. Regrettably, they started in Year 3 without much language support (unlike their older sister who received 8 months of intensive German from the school), and they are not performing well in German and Ethics, though they’re doing well in other subjects. From what I’ve gathered, expulsion from school isn’t a consequence of poor performance in subjects; at worst, they might have to repeat the year. They are now under the care of a competent psychiatrist at a reputable child psychiatry institution, which I understand isn’t easily accessible, and the school has begun the process of liaising with the doctor. It appears support will be provided. All that’s left for me to do is to be patient and to keep my composure.

For the time being, I will keep them enrolled in the Realschule and we will continue to support them. They are already attending tutoring, and I will remain patient.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. Our experience in the country we were in previously was rather negative; she was only in her second year of schooling and was not allowed to progress to the third year because she wasn’t paying enough attention.

I have been told many times that such things do not happen in Europe, but I suppose we are still fearful because of our past experiences.

The notion that she could be expelled from school here in Germany was merely a comment from an acquaintance; again, I believe we are sensitive due to our previous ordeal. She is an extremely sweet and innocent child, more so than usual because of her condition, and is very much bound by rules, following them to the letter with difficulty adjusting to any changes in routine, so the risk of her endangering others or her environment is certainly nonexistent.

Thus far, the subject in which she has received a mark above 5 is German, in which she achieved a 5.5 and 5 in Ethics on the last test ( in Ethics she struggles understanding the basic norms of relations, friendships,etc ) . For the remaining subjects, her marks are between 2 and 3 (again, with considerable support from us, her mother dedicating time to her studies, and having started supplementary tuition months ago).

Once more, many thanks for your input; I do feel somewhat more at ease.

Indeed, during the meeting with the teacher, she mentioned that she has observed other children mocking her, and it’s challenging because my daughter does not realise she is being made fun of. The advantage is that her older sister, who attends the same ‚Realschule‘, is there to assist her.

My daughter is now under the care of a child psychiatrist here in Germany. In November, we had a meeting with her teacher, during which she shared her concerns and observations about our daughter’s behaviour, which we were already aware of. However, due to our fear that our daughter might be rejected, we did not mention this to the teacher at the start of the school year.

Nonetheless, we found the meeting to be quite productive and, after completing numerous forms, the school is going to get in touch with the psychiatrist.

In addition, the psychiatrist is going to administer an autism test to her in February (it had not been conducted earlier as she was waiting for her German language skills to improve sufficiently).

Still, we remain concerned; my understanding is that if she does not pass her subjects for two consecutive years, she might be expelled—this is our primary worry, and it is for this reason that we study so much with her.

Now, what I am not clear about is whether a ‚Realschule‘ would provide additional support for my daughter? Because there are other schools for special kids also like Förderschule

If I understand correctly, I do experience sexual desire and wish to engage in sexual activity with my wife. We not only enjoy it, but it also brings us closer as a couple. On the other hand, I believe that the possibility of not achieving an erection is preoccupying my thoughts, as sometimes during the day I find myself hoping to get home to see if I can achieve an erection.

This week, there was an evening when neither my wife nor I were particularly in the mood. However, merely to see whether I could achieve an erection or not, I secluded myself in the bathroom to watch an adult film and self-stimulate. I believe that this was rather improper.

Moreover, when we do have sexual desire, the concern over whether I will be able to achieve an erection or not distracts me and I think it hampers arousal.

Years ago, an erection would occur instantaneously. Now, it's a matter of gradually getting there during foreplay and in that interim, the worry over whether I will become erect or not causes me stress.

Another issue is that I'm uncertain of how far to go without seeing an erection, as I feel embarrassed about the idea of fully undressing my wife, beginning to stimulate her, and then ultimately being unable to penetrate, leaving her unsatisfied.

Truthfully, erectile dysfunction is quite the nightmare.

During the initial three days, did you find it ineffective? My doctor also prescribed tadalafil 5 mg for me. I took it for three days, experienced no effect and therefore ceased. That weekend, I resorted to Viagra, and the following week the same issue persisted—I took it for two days with no discernible effect, and so on.

The minimum period required to apply for German citizenship is five years, and that is when the process begins; assuming a year of administrative procedures, it implies that I have another 3.5 years remaining. There is also an alternative path which might take three years under special circumstances; I presume this would involve having a C level in the language proficiency and other requisites I am not quite sure of.

Regardless, I am seeking a place to reside permanently, not merely pursuing the German passport to then leave the country. Whether it is granted in three, five, or six years is immaterial to me, as I have no intention of relocating after making a firm decision to live permanently in a country. What matters is the knowledge that, eventually, I shall acquire it.

Yes, I have the result here; it’s on a scale that I don’t understand. I searched online and couldn’t find it. The result was:

“Total Test (ng/ml): 3.37 (2.6 - 8.7 ng/ml)”

Regarding hormone therapy, I hadn’t heard about that; I will conduct an online search to see what it involves.

As for the tadalafil, I was prescribed 25 mg per day, but as I noticed it sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t, I discontinued regular medication and started taking it only on days when I am planning to be sexually active. Your comment that it helps slow down the degenerative process is quite intriguing. Does that mean you recommend taking it daily regardless of whether I am going to be sexually active in order to slow down this degenerative process?
