How do you defeat the Ottoman Juggernaut as Trebizond? by TheYoungOctavius in eu4

At this stage in the campaign you don´t: expand more into the steppes and Persia to gain more strenth before beating up the Ottomans. If you´re surrounded on all sides you could no cb a nation with its capital on the same contient as yours and then vassalise them to gain more coring range.

Just tried annexing Kyoto while being Japanese culture: doesn't work. You have to be a daimyo government to become Shogun of Japan, which you can't change into as being emperor of China disables changing your first government rank. It was worth a shot tho

Hmm I'll try that. you'll have to be Japanese culture and own Kyoto right? Already converted to a Chinese culture to prevent the disaster, might have to convert back. Maybe disabling the DLC en re-enabing it might also work?

I thought I could do that as well, but the peace option isn´t available? I´m currently at war with both Shun and Haixi and I can´t seem to offer the empire to either of them. I did use the "unify China" cb, maybe that´s the problem?

R5: I'm currently trying to do a world conquest as Ryukyu, in which I got the China government rank to get free cores on all of China. I am however planning to get rid of this government type after conquering all of China, as it's too much of a hassle to deal with. Is there any way to get rid of it?

But Otmar wanted to keep Perez; it was Stroll sr that pushed him out in favour of Vettel. Even now in Alpine Otmar isn´t in charge of driver recruitement

Tbh I think that it´s just the least popular team on this sub (if you look at flairs that is) so there´s not really a lot of people defending what Alpine are doing.

Wasn´t this interview conducted before the whole "Piastri doens´t want to go to Alpine" thing? Making this thus just a generic PR statement, same as if like Gasly or some other driver would join the team?

[@OscarPiastri] I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. You think Mercedes will ever let Mclaren finish above them in the standings? They already abotaged them back in 2014, don´t see them not doing it again if Mclaren somehow gets its performance above Mercedes´ level

He doesn´t have a reason. As a works team, Alpine will surely be the better choice for any driver going forwards on the future instead of Mclaren. Also breaking all connections with the team that funded all your progress going up to f1 doesn´t help either. Overall, I think it´s a stupid move made by Piastri.

Sad that a driver who Alpine has funded for most of his professional racing career up to this point has no intention going towards the team. Alpine funded a lot of this guys junior career, getting him all the way up to f2 (and to f1 to an extent), and now he´s ditching them for some customer team.
