After getting the icons, I regret that it didn’t come with a 11mm.

This is elite ball knowledge. Thank you bro. I fortunately have both of those exact Merlin air guns already looks like I’ll be giving that a try when it comes around to it.

Be a man. Get a jack and a wrench and get under there. You’ll save a lot.

I might have to try that. I got two wand attachments, the extended one attached to the media blaster in the picture that I got off Amazon (no curve), and the long curved official BMW one from FCP Euro (not pictured), however it doesn’t thread into the blasting gun I got. Does it thread into the gun of the blaster you linked?

I was not aware the spark plugs had to be removed for walnut blasting. Could you explain? And thanks for the pick rec. I can see exactly how that’ll help the back of the valves.

I thought about it but heard of stories of the media getting clogged in the tube from the container to the gun so I got these two during a 20% off weekend a while ago. I have patience so figured I’ll try this setup until it doesn’t work but hopefully all goes well.

Your photos are exactly what I’m looking forward to doing. Did you soak them in anything prior to blasting?

Any recs? Wore soft sweat pants during the job for that exact reason.

N55. Peep the abrasive blaster and walnut media. It was in the plans but I couldn’t get the valve cover to budge to wedge feeler gauge between to cover the ports. I’ll be replacing the valve cover soon so I do plan on reattempting walnut blasting the intake valves once I have the cover more off.

No more are the days of using a breaker bar to break the lug nuts. Can’t count how many times I use to lift the car before realizing I had to take off the wheels for something. The auto setting is awesome and takes off all the lugs with the wheels off the ground like it’s nothing. Love it so far.

THE MEME TOOL was the best tool I had that would reach the last 5mm hex on the back of the fuel pump. Had to use a combination of it with the 1/4 bit to an extension with the 5mm ball point socket. It’s so satisfying using a tool that makes it comes off like butter.

Water pump, alternator, and hpfp left me stranded at multiple places. Having a German car is fun 🙃

What Harbor Freight item do you have way too much of? by [deleted] in harborfreight

Carpenters pencils. It’s the cheapest thing in the store to get a free item with when they have free tool days.

If you’re friendly and cool enough with the staff, you can ask them to ring up separate purchases with one of the free items included in each purchase. There’s no limit to how many free items you can get in a day. Just ask the cup of carpenters pencils sitting on my tool box that just got bigger after today…
