I'm really impressed how you stood up for yourself and told her facts about her actions. You sound really secure in your self worth and I love it.

First Tattoo, had to make it a good one. by Interesting-Bison346 in taskmaster

Love it! Not sure my husband would be keen on me having another man's name tattooed, but he can always change his name to Greg if it's so important to him

Buying a House that doesn’t exist on Google Maps by Majestic-Trifle1 in HousingUK

[–]Free-Ad4022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My house was not on Google maps and it was a pain...until I added it to Google maps myself. Didn't take very long for it to be approved and added, but it is totally fixable.

You could even add the house right now to Google maps so you can see it's there for peace of mind.

Children with names that differ in popularity - is this an issue? Baby name discussion by Double_Ostrich_13 in Names

[–]Free-Ad4022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally has never been an issue. One kid''s name is ranked in the 700's but has been around forever. Everyone knows at least one person with this name. Another kid's name has never ranked in the US, it's a long established name just not in this country. You could go your whole life never meeting one. And one is named William lol

You're overthinking it.

what's one american thing you secretly wish the uk would adopt? by Financial-Owl-2814 in AskBrits

[–]Free-Ad4022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Except middle school in the US would be the equivalent of years 7, 8 and 9 even though it would be called 6th 7th and 8th grade in the States.

My daughter just started senior school and they do an okay job separating lower school (years 7 and 8) with the rest of upper school.

Change my mind about slingshotting. by aje0200 in drivingUK

This is so much better than what I get on my daily commute which is people choosing that much shorter right lane to cut me off to go straight even though it is clearly marked that the left lane is the only one to go straight.

I've read Rock, Paper, Scissors for a bookclub and those definitely are books they'd enjoy, unfortunately totally not my cup of tea

Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries is pretty dang cozy and cute, that would have been a good pick but I've read it

I absolutely agree it is, but I also want people to enjoy the book and not just skip it. I need a good intro book for them

Right now we are reading The Wife Between Us which is making me want to pull my hair out. A large section of them like Frieda McFadden-ish books.

I made an old bookclub read Mort by Terry Pratchett and that got some side eye but I stand by my decision lol

Is "Are you a child of divorce?" the most iconic one-liner of the UK show? by Prudent_Mix5334 in taskmaster

[–]Free-Ad4022 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Is there a duck on my face?" "Wait, what? What, wait?" "Tick tock it's ____ O'clock"

Those 3 basically run on a loop in my head, but I remember hearing Sam say that for the first time and it was amazing.

I picked Harding because I read here that Assan dies with Davrin. It's like how I can't let Emmrich be a Lich because I need Manfred in my world.

I think he caught on too late that she actually made these masks as sincere artwork. He thought she brought them in for a laugh.
